Yes today WAS the day that I was taking Liz and her friends to the amusement park.

I haven't had time, nor energy to catch up on what I missed, since I just got home less than 1/2 hour ago. (Left at 6:30 am, home again 2:30 am!!). Of course I couldn't sleep the night before I left, so I had about 3 1/2 hours of sleep before I left.

I managed pretty good on such a small amount of sleep

Thought I'd check in though. I will catch up on all the pages I missed after I get some sleep.

I have taught my children very well about the wonders of Disney.

They can both guide themselves around any of the parks and also the Cruise ships without any help from me

I wouldn't say that I've caught up on my sleep but I had 6 1/2 hours last night. Almost double of the night before

I had an acceptable time yesterday Betsy. I wouldn't say a wonderful time but I didn't expect to since I'm not really a roller coaster fan. I did go on a couple of them though. The "kids" said they had a blast, so the trip was worth it.

A cabin in the woods with the fall leaves sounds wonderful, Betsy.

Last night I had arranged to meet my "troops" near the front gate of the park at about 10 pm.

I was there about 9:30 and was tired and wanted to sit, so I looked for a bench to get comfortable.

There was one bench that had only one man sitting on it. He was about 50 - 55 or so. He was wearing light up devil horns on his head

So I says to myself ...... hmmmmm. and went and asked him if I could sit on the other end of his bench.

He says sure, I could borrow part of his bench and also enjoy some of his "devilishness"

It turns out that he was from Quebec and had a nice French accent. We dubbed our bench the waiting for children bench.

We had a very nice conversation about the history of the battles between Canada and the US. (not that I'm much of a history buff) My area of the country is quite a historical one for those battles, so I do have some knowledge.

We talked about our children and then HIS children showed up. You should have heard them laugh when they saw his devil horns I'm guessing that they were out of the norm of his behaviour.

It was nice to see them get such a kick out of their dad. He said it was the first time he had ever taken his kids on a vacation (they were 13 and 16) and that they were having soo much fun.

One other thing I noticed yesterday.

The weather was sweltering, hot, humid, sticky, yucky.

People are pushing around little babies in strollers. Okay fine, no problem with that.

But I noticed most had those babies all wrapped up in blankets and then they had blankets pretty much totally closing in the strollers to keep the sun and therefore any breeze out.

Don't you think those poor babies were roasting inside those airless, hot strollers

I know I was roasting and I wasn't even all bundled up.
