Hiya Kim.

Have a good day?

I did lots of laundry, my special Sunday sport :teeth:

I think I'm going to go for the record....diser with the most posts and no tags.....that would be original and I would be different... :teeth:

All of my tables are so scratched up in this house that I really don't care what gets put on them.
Same here!

Those scratches and marks are just a sign that people are actually living in my house, not just existing.
I totally agree! Sometimes I wish we didn't live so WELL in this house though. :rotfl:

I need to get new curtains for the living room but I don't know what I want yet, so they will probably still be hanging there 5 years from now :rotfl:
After today, I need new ones too. While decorating the windows, I noticed that DD used her window markers on my curtains! :earseek: And in 2 other spots, the marker has stained the curtain. I already know that this stuff is semi-permanent on clothing, as DD got some on her sleeve, and after 4 washings, and stain treatments each time, there's still a faint blue on her pink shirt. I don't have much hope it'll come out of the sheers either. :sad2:

Kim,

I got an email from dh. He said he got your packages and Thank You very much. :flower: He and his crew really appreciate all the care packages.
:Pinkbounc WooHoo!!! Can't wait to tell DD that her letters arrived! :Pinkbounc Thanks Cally!

DD woke up sick about 3 AM, slight fever with a cough. :guilty: Pretty much did my usual chores, and a few more since she was laid up on the couch watching Mary Poppins, and not bugging me every 5 minutes. I did do 2 more loads of laundry, too. ;)

I hate the thoughts of buying new curtains or drapes. There are so many to choose from and I have a hard time picking out that kind of stuff.

Too bad about the marker stains Kim. I know that the sheers under mine have cat claw shreds in them from when Mischief was just a kitten and would climb up the curtains, all the way to the top

It's a good thing that she is so cute :teeth:

Poor Kelly sick again.

Is she going to be able to go to school tomorrow :confused3

Same goes for DD! :rotfl:

I also hate the thought, as my windows are oversized, and hard to fit, so my choices are limited - hence the sheers right now - I've got extra panels just to fit the width  , so finding REAL curtains or drapes, is a task I'm not ready for right now. :sad2:

Kim or anybody else for that matter........ have you ever eaten at the Flat Top Grill (not sure that is the correct spelling?)

We ate at one in Fort Wayne, Indiana a few years back and really enjoyed it. We were going to try and find one if we came to Chicago :sad2:

Don't know of any here in Chicago, Robin. Sorry.

Actually Kim I think there are four of them in the Chicago area. At least according to their website.

They are a stir fry restaurant. You pick all of your own ingredients and sauces from a buffet style bar and then it is cooked up fresh for you and delivered to your table.

It was very yummy!

Kim, sorry to hear your dd is not feeling so well.. Hope she feels better soon. Sending some sunshine your way :sunny: :sunny:

Robin, that restaurant sounds really neat! We don't have anything like that around here. Only have the japanese yaki niku restaurants where they cook in front of you, like at Epcot.

Not exactly near, but they're maybe within 1/2 hour - 45 minutes away.

If you are anything like when I lived in the big city, everything was at least 1/2 hour away :sad2: Took me that long to get to the doctor's office even.

If you ever get the chance you should try out the Flat Top Grill.

Cally, we don't have anything like that around here at all. Just pretty boring stuff around here.
