Good Morning Good People Of the Thread Killer Thread!

Merry Christmas! Merry Christmas!

My work for this Christmas is almost done. One more task, and a most pleasant task it is too!

You see, I made a promise to a friend, a good friend, that one day I would stop here to say "Hello".

Today is the best day I can think of to fulfill my promise. I keep my eye on this thread. There is a lot of goodness here.

I see friendships that are more solid than between people who have met face to face.

I see a caring and sharing that is a fine example of what a true friendship should be.

There is love here. The love of life and living.

Yes, you Tkers , as you call yourselves, are the best example of the way people can get along together if they try.

Keep setting such a fine example. I know you will!

My friend, our friend really, my promise is kept.

To our friends, my friends now too, have yourselves a Merry Christmas.

Edited to remind you to remind everyone: I'll be watching you.

Merry Christmas to all.......... As you all know, I am a LURKER. I have to tell you, when my bride first joined the TKers I was slow on the uptake. I couldn't figure the magnetism that exists among y'all. As these months have gone by and I quietly luuuuuurrrrrked, and even had the pleasure of meeting Rick and Robin, it has finally dawned on me that y'all bubble with love and good will. Our world needs more open and caring people like y'all!! It's been my privledge to be a LURKER!!! God Bless y'all...............
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wow! Santa! We're SO glad you stopped by! Thanks ever so much for all my goodies!

Hello Threadkillers and Merry Christmas!

Was it just me, or were you surprised that Tom posted? He read the morning's posts with me and he sat down at the computer and decided to say hello. He even shooed me out of the room so he could type! Made me happy to see him enjoy the TKers so much!

I hope ya'll (not Tom's y'all) had a great Christmas! We're having a wonderful day!

The turkey got in the roaster early this am. Well, the roaster cooks a little faster than a conventional oven - it's done! I figure, we'll keep it warm and serve LOTS of gravy to cover any dryness. The ham is in the second roaster, I'm still in my PJ's and have a GREAT time! Gotta love the roasters - they free up the oven for the taters, sweet taters, mac & cheese & biscuits!

Ya'll are such a big part of my Christmas, I do love you, threadkillers! Merry Christmas!

BTW: BrerPapa - your best story yet! YOU are the MAN!

Well thanks BP, I wasn't even watching that!!!

NOW, you will have to run to catch up with ME :moped: :earboy2:

The gift ahhhh.... well some of you know that I am on a lose some weight and get healthier kick. I asked Santa if I could reach a certain number on the scales this morning, since it was official weigh in day for the week. And low and behold, Santa granted me that wish!! The best present I could ask for.

I have lost 11.2 lbs in 5 weeks. I am just thrilled and am determined to make this a way of life!!! Of course I have a HUGE cruise temptation coming up but I can handle it :earboy2:

Merry Christmas, Cally.

Have a great day.

I have some cooking to do too.

Brer_Papa, sounds like you have everything under control at your end. ::yes::

Have a wonderful day with the grandchildren.

My Mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law and his SO are coming today around 4 or so. BIL is driving in from Cleveland. So that only makes 8 for dinner and all adults more or less, not so bad.

Tomorrow is at my parents with about 15 people.

Aaaaah....the GK 's will be here....and we will have a great time I'm sure!

and yes....I ave everything under control....

did I tell you guys I got a new hat at WDW?

it's a Santa hat with fuzzy Mickey ears....

the GK's are gonna love it!

Hi everyone!

Yep, BrerPapa, we reckoned you got a new hat, cause you wore it for your postcards! Sounds like you're gonna have a great Christmas. As a DH used to decorate his tree on the 24th of December. As a child, ours went up the day after Thanksgiving. When we were engaged, I told him I wouldn't marry him if I had to wait til the 24th! We usually do it the weekend closest to the 10th....good compromise. Tom said Ozzie & Harriet were okay, he did watch them, but he always thought Ozzie was a panty-waste.

Cruisin - again, congratulations on your goal! You keep up the good work! Ya gotta know how proud we are! Congratulations on your 2000th TK post!

Cally - how'd the turkey turn out? Our dinner was fine. I wasn't crazy about how the ham turned out. We usually get a honey-baked ham and didn't this year, you could tell. Other than that, it was great and we all had a good time.

Well, I've got one dishwasher load done, and about 3 more to go! So I better get started! Take care and Merry Christmas!

Thanks for stopping in Santa!

Thanks for the congratulations everyone!!!

Brer_Papa, the first thing we noticed was your new hat. It really seems to suit you ;) Did the grandkids love it????

Our meal turned out pretty good. At least that is what everyone said. They especially liked the cheesecake. I had a small sliver and it did taste pretty good.

I got one dishwasher load done and should do another but I really don't feel like it. I am too tired. :cat:

Neat song, Wendy. I hope you had a wonderful day! Thanks for the music.

Hey Congratulations on your weight loss Robin!!!!

Well, the turkey turned out fantabulous!!! It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo Good!!!!!!!!! yummy yummy....

I've got all the dishes done and kitchen cleaned!! Can you believe it? Now I have to clean the house again.. :earseek: .. Think I'll wait to do that tomorrow..

I am glad your turkey turned out yummy Cally. I really am intrigued by fried turkey now :D

Tomorrow is another day. Don't worry about cleaning up anymore today. I am not going to worry about it.

Yea, after cleaning up for Christmas and having to clean up afterwards... wheewwww .. I'm beat! ...

I hope that everyone had a great day, thread killers and lurkers alike!
