It IS kinda cold here right now. I could see my breath outside tonight when I emptied the trash.

Grumpy Pirate - I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of Jello in Utah. Especially in the lime variety. Or cherry.

:rotfl2: I grew up in the Midwest and DW cannot get over the fact that I call orange jello with shaved carrots "Salad," or lime jello with fruit cocktail "fruit salad!":woohoo: :lmao:

Morning.... woke up this morning to a nice frost over everything :scared1: The grass is all white!!! At this rate we better get some snow!!!

Well the kids done did it again!!! I'm as sick as a dawg!!! I wish I could just go back to sleep once the kids leave but I'm babysitting again.

SIL and BIL are in a real bind because grandma (which is SIL's MIL) started working (she use to watch the baby) so now they don't have anyone. BIL is going TDY again for 3wks. I'm suppose to be looking for a job. But I guess I can help out a bit..

Speaking of job I got my nursing license # in the mail yesterday  :yay:

Hi UtahMama and Grumpy Pirate

I had a Nyquil shot lastnight... Knocked me out good! Unfortunately it didn't knock out my cold.

Morning all, hope everyone feels better today, and stay away from me. I don't want any colds:sick:

NYQUIL has the opposite effect on me!:confused3 Keeps me up at night.

Very cold here this a.m. It was 23. Maybe We'll shut out bedroom window soonish ( The ish is for UtahMama if she comes back). This was most definitely the "killing frost" this morning. ALl the plants have died. It's amazing that the flowers were still blooming here in November!

Callie :woohoo: on the license coming in. Makes it all "realer" doesn't it?

Humanitarian of the year goes to Cruisin for releasing the squirrel!:cheer2:

DU~ loaner horses!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

DalPal ~ the new island project sounds great! I wish DH or I could do things like that. But years of experience have proven that we need to be the "save up money and call someone in to do the job" people. It ends up cheaper for us in the end. When we pretend we are "do it yourseld" people, we still need to call someone in to fix it all for us!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Here's a funny discussion that I had with DDs yesterday afternoon!

THey were commenting on the fact that you need gum to get through the day at school. THis always amazes me as we were not allowed to chew gum at school. So I mentioned that if we were caught chewing gum at school, we would get detention.

They told me that was a ridiculous rule. They wanted to know why we couldn't chew gum, but were allowed to bring guns and knives to school and had a smoking lounge. It is amazing to think about this, but I grew up in avery rural area and most of the teachers and guys in HS hunted. They would hunt before and/or after school so would bring their rifles and hunting knives and keep them in their locker or in gun racks in their trucks. Never had any problems and never gave it a second thought. It was just a way of life I guess. The smoking lounge was a solution to foggy bathrooms where the smokers would go to sneak a cigarette. If you had a note from your parents you could smoke in the smoking lounge (really an outdoor patio off of our cafeteria). Also the drinking age was 18, so on our senior trip to QUebec, the chaperones were absolutely fine with us ordering wine or beer with our meals and having a huge mega party at the hotel with alcohol. THe chaperones weren't allowed to drink, but the kids were!

Can you imagine any of this happening today? But we we not allowed to chew gum!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I graduated in 1980.

My Rachael Ray mission was a bust :(

I was too late to get her autograph, 600 wristbands were all given out before I got there...They had her signing in an auditotium so there was no seeing her from afar. I *did* see where she went in so I hung out there (I knew she was signing for two hours.) I got John her new book and some sharpies (markers) for her to sign jic. They shuttled her so quickly outta there that I had no chance of getting her autograph and alls I got was one good (fuzzy but good) shot of her as she was leaving.

DS used up my decongestants so I gotta head over to cvs real quick. For my allergies I take three pills a day, twice a day, and a single decongestant is one of them. Today is really chore day...gotta do everything I didn't get to do yesterday cause I was hanging at the mall all afternoon

 Hiya Utahmama!! Hey grumpy...good to see some fresh faces from time to time. PD  It's crazy to think of all the things you all could have at school and then get into trouble for chewing gum...how silly is that?

Happy Thursday to all my threadkillers

Hey Princessac, Congrats on the license! Now you can get a job "Jabbing" people with the needles!!

Ugh! :guilty: Maybe next time ;)

Let's see I graduated in 93 and back then we were not allowed to chew gum, carry "weapons", drink alcohol, etc.

Pah, so not fair :confused3
