Neat.

I like to read books that are set on or near to beaches.

We have lots of beaches within 1/2 hour or so of us but I don't tend to get to them very often:confused3

I think that we all tend to skip the things that are close to home. I've lived 90 minutes from NYC my entire life, and tho I go to NYC at least a few times a year, I have never been to Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty!:confused3

Okay, here it is.

I was near enough to them once to see them but we didn't go to them.

I just admired the Statue from across the river :thumbsup2

Me too! I've seen it from the NJ side, but have never been. DH and I were talking about that recently. We really need to go and bring the girls. DD(13)'s class did go on a field trip to ELlis Island this past SPring, but didn't go to the Statue of Liberty.

Okay, here it is.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Glad to give you an assist on this one!:flower3:

Thanks for keeping me company tonight ;)

You are free now to carry on with your life if you so choose :lmao:

Someday we should also go to the Statue of Liberty.

Rick's mom actually came to Canada thru Ellis Island. So we should go there too.

Something to put on the list of things to do someday.

Interesting.

Rick's mother came to Canada with her sister and her sisters husband and 2 children in 1952 or 1953 I think.

They came by boat to the US thru Ellis Island and then by train to Canada from there.

I'm back from the store!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Congratulations Robin on 15,000:cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm sorry I had to run.....

It was a beer run for hubby :flower3:

I picked me up a bottle of wine too :3dglasses

Want a glass to celebrate?!?!?

I got some trail-mix... YUM I'll share :flower3:

Were you right on the beach?

I'd love to spend some time in a cottage type place, right on the beach.

Get up every morning and go for a nice walk along the beach in the early morning night.

Sit on the beach at noon and enjoy the bright sunshine.

And then walk along the beach with the moonlight streaming down.

Aww, sound wonderful to me.

Does sound wonderful :thumbsup2

I love the beach. :beach:

No thanks on the alcoholic beverages Cally.

Anything with alcohol just tastes :scared: to me.

I don't think I've ever tasted trail mix before in my life:confused3

Pretty sad life huh:rotfl2:

I usually don't eat trail mix but this has cashews and chocolate chips in it.... so I thought I would try it cuz anything with chocolate has to be good... :rotfl:
