Brenda, I almost find this funny

Yours, Aisling's and my husband all are pretty quick to say no to a trip but (in the case of mine anyway) they are the first to complain when *you* aren't there~ Am I right or does your DH just like being a "anbutthead"~

You are soooo right!!!! But he also knows that I'm going with or without him....and so is DS - life is too short to wait on him....so he has just gotten used to it....

This board was 'rocking' yesterday....1st day of school for DS & he got the permission slips all signed etc. from everyone that he needed to drive the other boy from Gilroy over to Watsonville....(remember in Cali~ you can't drive anyone under the age of 20) without special permission - anyway we got all that...so he's off to a good start....has his first "football jamboree" tomorrow night - that is always fun & then his season starts next wkend..:woohoo: One last Giants game for us this wkend.....and then almost time for my trip to NY!!!!:cool1:

DU - James is JUST SO RIGHT.....i can't even imagine what that woman might have done if James had told her all this stuff, and then she goes to the car and finds her 5 y/o kidnapped!!! it HAPPENS!!!!

I think that mine is starting to get that hint too.

Everytime I would mention wanting to go somewhere or do something by myself he'd get really put out. Yet he would go on airplane competition weekends without a thought of leaving me behind:confused3

Now he is the one who suggested that I go to Florida to meet up with the rest of the gang. I was going to come alone but of course when Liz heard that I was going she was quick to want to jump on that airplane and come with me.:thumbsup2

She loves to travel and she also loves Disney. We are looking forward to going to Downtown Disney without "Dad". He generally stands around looking bored and that makes browsing Disney stuff not so comfortable for the rest of us. Now we will be able to look to our hearts content :woohoo:

Of course I had every intention of coming to the meet but I just waited and made it seem like it was HIS idea in the end:upsidedow

October 20th we will have been married for 28 years.

We have been together 32 years.

A loooooonnnnng long time it seems sometimes and other times it feels like months.

The one thing I don't enjoy at Disney is Downtown Disney. I went once and that was one too many for me.....isn't that weird?

I guess it's because - while I don't despise it - I'm not a huge shopper. Especially for clothes (ugh)!

I know you and Liz will have a great time there - because I DO like to shop Disney in the parks and it's always better without the menfolk (no offense DU, I'm speaking strictly of the husband folk!)

I am not a shopper in any way or form really, other than out of necessity.

I do like to look at Disney stuff though:thumbsup2

Having all that Disney stuff in one spot is like a sugar high :rotfl2:

We don't tend to have a ton of Disney stuff around here. There is some of course but not the type of stuff you can get when you are right there at Disney or even in Florida at the WalMart.

The strip of stores at pleasure island is probably my favorite of late...

they have (had at least) a Harley store, a Memorabilia shop (posters and art and such) and a couple clothing shops I really liked~ Let's not forget about the "Everything under $10" store that just happens to be next to a Disney pets store ::yes:: over near Rainforest cafe~

Hiya TW! I'm trying to get motivated to put together the carpet steam cleaner (just folded a load of clothes) and keep checking the DISBoards. The sisters went to Pleasure Island and I have to say (sorry) I didn't like it at all. However, that being said - I'm willing to admit to being a stick in the mud, too!

I really liked your photo - Disney's California Adventure is pretty cool....I was really surprised when I was there.

well i sure do like your anniversary date - (it is my BD)...and 28 yrs is a long time...but that's great that it can feel like only months!

It is also KimRaye's birthday:thumbsup2

Well, sometimes months can take forever to pass by :lmao:

Ann, I didn't care too much for most of Pleasure Island either. We did enjoy the Adventurers club (is that what it's called??).

Ann, you are not a stick in the mud, you are just more reserved and discerning than some of the rest of us :teeth:

That is probably the nicest description of "stick-in-the-mud" I've heard yet!

Yelllllllllllllllow TK'ers!

For the Record I Hate HATE HATE shopping. Online for me!
But I do spend considerable time in DTD! Pin Traders (with no air conditioning :scared1: :confused3 ), Once Upon a Toy (Mr.Potatoe Head parts), World of Disney (10% discount) & OF COURSE the Lego Store (see whats new)

It is also KimRaye's birthday:thumbsup2
Who is this????????:confused3 I forget!:rolleyes1 Is she with Tinknutt?

ps Still waiting to hear the GOOD WORD

Yup, I just told Liz the other day that you can say the most horrible thing to someone and if you choose the right words they won't even realize it till hours later:lmao: :rotfl2:

Not that I was saying nasty things about you because you are definitely not a stick in the mud.;)

Liz and I are crazy when we are together :rolleyes1

I said we should spend our time at Disney trying to see how many other people's vacation pictures and videos we can be a part of

Better be careful though or I'll find myself on one of these DISboard threads about strange people at Disney:angel:

I didn't think you said anything horrible....I thought it was funny! I can live with reserved and discerning! :)

I actually got the hallway carpet steamed cleaned. It was SO dirty, I'll do it again tomorrow....even after a rinse! Ugh! I hate heavy traffic dirt!

Brittany and I started that game too!

I told her about seeing how many random pictures we could try to get into the background of and she was all for it! It's a really fun game and a very incognito kinda game all at the same time ;)

I don't like Pleasure Island...

I only like the shops they have in there ::yes::

My Mom is gaga over Adventurer's CLub, I lost interest after the first go round~

The comedy club is cute, but still corny.

The dance clubs are totally NOT me! I enjoy having a drink or two with friends but can do that without the club scene.

I did enjoy watching the Cha Cha Slide my first time over there~

It's like the Macarena, only better

:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

i have to admit i LOVE to shop.....LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT...but not with crowds...so i hate shopping in December...i can go to a mall once...and know where every store is the next time i'm there....

i'm a very good online shopper too!

I believe in "Shop till ya drop"....:rotfl:

I love that idea!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm always trying to talk my DH into crashing parties, if we pass a house with lots of cars outside of it. I tell him if any one asks who we are, just say oh we're here with Mike. Odds are good somebody there is named Mike, and we're not lying because DH's name is Mike!:thumbsup2 I haven't been able to convince him yet tho because he is "just more reserved and discerning than some of the rest of us" ok He's a stick in the mud!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
