I thought it looked like popcorn.

Now see, if you hadn't of told us we would have never known it was not real popcorn. We would have just thought you were super Christmas decorator lady ::yes::
Yep, what she said. ;)

(1)It will probably be the day I say the MOST embarrassing thing!

Glad you liked the tree. (2)The tree skirt is a quilted one.....just fell in love with it!
(1)That's the idea. :earboy2:

(2)My tree skirt, if any of you care, was crocheted by my Mom, simple, but cute. All white, with smaller decorations around the edge....train, package, angel, wreath, etc. Kind of a family heirloom.....someday.

That is nice that you have the tree skirt that was made by your mom Kim. It will be an heirloom some day.

Mine is a cheap felt one with santas hot glued on it. We have been using it for years though and it still looks brand new. I guess someday it will also be a family heirloom :earboy2:

Hi again everyone! I've been putzing around. Watching the game and reading a book. I'm on & off the internet.

Glad you could make it, Kim! I dunno about the tag. It would be weird that some other people would get the same one. However, if it IS a tag....it's nice to have one. Don't remember saying anything 'bout being a DIS Cast Member, but I wouldn't mind!

I guess I COULD have gotten away with my faux popcorn! Everyone thinks it's real. When they see the tree, they always touch it. I don't know if they're hungry or just haven't seen popcorn garland in a while. I think I've had it on 15 of the 20 or so years we've had a tree! It's nice not to have to string the garland!

Ann, I remember one year as a kid, I wanted popcorn garland, and my Mom said she'd make the popcorn, and I could string it.........Oh MY!!! Little did I know. We maybe had 3 feet of popcorn garland that year.

I have a red crocheted twisty garland that I made myself a lot of years ago.

I use that on my tree.

When I found red wooden bead garland, I stopped the popcorn. I probably haven't had it for about 5-7 years. However, since this is our 22nd Christmas, not too bad! It is VERY time consuming. That's why I was thrilled to find the faux stuff. Even though it cost more than I usually pay for stuff, it was worth it!

I use 4 long strands of silver, stringed snowflakes, they reflect the light nicely. :smooth:

Pretty! I just love the holidays! All the decorating and fun!

I just lurked (and posted) on the community board. There was a question about closing shower curtains. Well, I just HAD to post! I thought I was the only one in the universe that had this as a pet peeve. Guess what?!? I'm not alone! While this is the threadkillers thread, what's ya'll's opinion?

BTW: Only in the south can you get away with butchering this written word! Ya'll's

I also posted on that thread

I try to remember to close mine when I am finished in the shower. I like to "shake" the water off too if I think about it. It all helps it to dry faster and not get so mildewed.

Now, no one else in the family really cares whether it is open or closed. So if I see it opened and wet then I will close it.

Cruisin - I read your post! I'm sorry I didn't mention that in the earlier post! DH and I now have a shower door (walk in shower). However, it would drive me NUTS when anyone left the curtain open. I had to literally stop myself from closing other people's curtains!

I'm having a heck of a time with my computer tonight. I think it's ready to go beddy-bye. I'm gonna turn it off. Sorry I can't chat with ya'll tonight.....I'd love to, tho!

Nighty-night everyone! Good night BrerPapa wherever you are!

Okay well put that computer and yourself into bed.

I should not be too far behind you either.

Talk tomorrow. Enjoy your movie day.

I thought it was y'all?? Midwesterner that I am.

No prob on the 'puter issues, Ann. I know all too well how that is.

Well, Kim, I have to go too. The old eyes are getting tired.

Good luck with your shopping.

Looking forward to talking to you again tomorrow!!

Have a good night.

By the way......... how is Kelly doing??? Is she feeling better from her illness, not having any more school problems or tummyaches????

Kim - you are probably right, but everyone I know writes ya'll! Don't ask me why, it's a contraction of YOU and ALL, so y'all makes sense. However, I'm sticking with ya'll! My fingers would itch all day if I typed it the other way and left it like that!

I thought you went to bed????

Cruisin - Tom said I had a message and I tried one more time to post. Well, I think I might have double posted......this computer is ready for bed and I'm turning it off right now..........................

:earboy2: What is Tom doing up at this time of night too???

You two turning into night owls??

Morning ... :wave2: :sunny: What are those squiggly lines under my name? I guess everyone has them...
