Who feels like a Thread-Killer? Part 2

Yes Wendy, I'm doing WW. It's the third time I've done it, not that the plan doesn't work, but I don't follow maintenance, actually never made THEIR goal, so I never KNEW what maintenance was. Like it was a big secret or something.

I'm about 16 lbs from MY goal, a weight I haven't seen in 17+ years! WWs goal for me, on the HIGH end, would be 20 lbs. We're not far apart, but I'm also older, and some things (like stretched out skin-ewwww) are NOT moving anywhere!

I don't think of myself as ever yo-yoing , rather that I gained over the years, lost it, and gained it back (and more) again over many years. The last time I did WW was about 15 years ago, and I swore then, I'd never let it get this bad, but it did, and I'm back again. And again, I swear, I'll never let myself get that heavy again. We'll see.

Water and exercise have been a HUGE contributing factor this time. As well as the WISH board! Love those WISHers!

Califlady, congratulations on your post and it's nice to meet you! We hope you'll stop by more often - the threadkillers are a bunch of nice people.

I wish I was on last night. I, too, am on an eating lifestyle. KimRaye, I couldn't agree with you more about the water, exercise & WISHers. I lost about 50 lbs 3 years ago and gained about 12-15 of it back. My doc diagnosed me as "pre-diabetic", so now I'm on a low-carb, low-fat, sugar free eating habit for the rest of my life!

The good news is I've lost 21 pounds (only 6 during WISH) since the diagnosis and my bloodsugar is completely under control. Plus my cholesterol & blood pressure is down and my heartbeat is much more regulated. (yuck-I take medicine for everything!).

I did indulge twice while Tom was gone, but that's it! I indulge once a month on biscuits & gravy and once a month on popcorn and the week was when Tom was gone, so I indulged then! However, I didn't exercise. I miss walking with him - it's not the same.

Well, I've got to get dressed and start the day! I'm picking up DD and GS and we're going to Williams-Sonoma in the mall then to BJ's, a store where you buy in your stuff in bulk.

Oh! I forgot to tell you, GS (Carter) is 19 months old and he decided (on his own) that he wants to use the potty! We're all stunned because, while he communicates effectively, he doesn't verbalize! He goes to the bathroom like a big boy once a day - so far - for the last 4 days......I swear, my grandson is a genius!

Yes, I do believe that your grandson IS a genuis (of course, that is only because I don't have a grandson ) Don't worry about the talking thing, my son didn't talk until he was 3 years old and now he still doesn't shut up .

I have gotten up twice to answer the phone this morning so that is a sign that I should be up I guess!! I need to shower and get dressed anyway. I need to go shopping for a Canada shirt for a DIS'er in Australia!

She sent me some pretty cool Tinkerbell stickers, one of which is stuck on the front of my monitor so I see it while I am DISing. It says ..... Believe in the Magic!!

BP, you enjoy your squirrel skin clothing - I'm sure you'll make wonderful fashions.............for someone else! However, there is no harm in being unique!

Yeah, honey bunny (he'll kill me for putting that one on the board!) is coming home tomorrow night. Unfortunately, that's also my Bunco night and DD & I are both playing. So DSIL is picking honey up at the airport - convenient since he works there and we'll all meet up at 11pm. Then at 11:01 - there will be smoochie-dooing!


Had a GREAT day with DD. I told her about the genius GS post and she laughed! She's really proud! We had a nice time shopping and just enjoying each other's company. We made another play date for next week!

Guess what!? The sister's are coming! The sister's are coming! It's not an official sister's weekend, but we're getting together again! It's only been a month - but who cares! Tom said he'll spend the night at my father's house since we plan to karaoke all night long! The last time we did it at my sister's house - we had to stop at 4am, because her husband needed to sleep! This time, we'll welcome the sun! Anyway, we're going to have a FABULOUS time. None of us are rock stars by any stretch of the imagination, but we sing, dance and have a great time in each other's company!


Better post and give someone else a turn! Ya'll take care and I'll be checking in. I'm going to get some house cleaning done. Hubby will be pleased and I like pleasing him!

Yes I did notice that you blamed us for the new fall line of Squirrelly Duds!

I know that I am mean and nasty (re: ouch! again from you?) but honestly that is part of my charm

I had a thought for a possible manly type exchange, how about baseball style caps, they could be for something in your area or favourite sports teams etc. You could always organize an exchange yourself.

Ann, actually there was recently a tshirt exchange that I participated in but this tshirt going to Australia was just me helping out a DISer friend whose son needed help with a project on Canada. She needed a t-shirt for him to wear during his presentation so I sent one to her/him.

There is no specific spot for exchanges but there are lots of them on the community board. I think they have them on some of the other boards too sometimes. You just have to keep an eye out and when they say it's time to sign up for ..........whatever......then you sign up! Simple as that.

When you do sister karaoke all night long, will you be DISing with us too, at the same time. You can let us know what song you are singing next Sounds like great fun but they wouldn't let me sing, everybody tells me to stop when I sing So I just sing in my car when I am all alone

How many sisters are there all together?

well...i googled Robert Fulgham (that sounds just so wrong)

anyway....i meandered here and there...interesting gentleman....

in fact...i could see me saying some of the things he says...and found myself identifying with some of his beliefs...

OK...some tidbits.. (check spelling)...and odds and ends...

first...I failed to mention about PA's crocheting that she entered in the Warren County Fair last week....

she is an avid cocheter...very skilled...quite an artist....

anyway...she entered 18 crocheted items...

she received 5 1sts...5 2nds....3 3rds....2 4ths...and a 5th...

she also received 94 dollars for her ribbons won......

she is entering stuff in the Crawford County Fair on Friday...

next...we are thinking of getting some Disney blinds for the RV...
