I haven't seen this much brown-nosing since Brer_Yodeler...the teacher...not me...got the flu

somebody needed to fill in for him at practice...and Brer_Yodeler...the kiss up....kept waving his arm out his phone booth while he called all the Brer_Yodelers screaming "Pick me! Pick me!"

anyway...we went over to visit DMIL....I had told her I'd fill out a Veterans Benefit form for her...

(yeah yeah....it borders on brown-nosing...)

and afterwards....we went for an ice cream cone...

now visualize this...

we are headed back...on Alternate Route 5....a road you know...
and the sun was setting....

the sky was red and gold...

BUT...as it was setting...the colors were vividly sharp...and as I headed east on Alt. Rte 5....there was a tall tree that a ray of sunshne was illuminating....

the tree was "painted red"

it was gorgeous....

so we get to the senior center complex where she lives...and we hurried down to the lakefront...

in time to watch the sun sink below the lake level...

it was a glorious sight....

absolutely beautiful!

I wanted to end that last one where I did so you had time to visualize it....

it was so beautiful Cruisin' !

plus...i m only teasing you about the brown-nosing...for now...

stuffed pork chops...

I make a stuffing...

cook an onion and celery in a butter or butter substitue until soft...

add to crumbled stuffing bread...

poultry seasonin to your particular taste

add water so it holds together

salt

pepper

for reguarly cut pork chops...

lightly grease or "pam" a glass pyrex dish...

cover bottom with the pork chops...

dole out the stuffing so each pork chop has the stuffing covering it

cover each pork chop with another so its layered thus:

pork chop
stuffing
pork chop
--------- <~~ bottom of pyrex

cover with foil

put in oven @ 350 for about an hour then remove the foil and cook for another 10 to 15 minutes or so...making sure pork chops are done...

VOILA!! yummy yummy....

Brer_Papa, I have been having trouble getting on the DISboards. It keeps telling me that the server is too busy try again later

The sun set and the "flaming" tree sound beautiful. I get beautiful sunsets here every night. My house backs onto an open field and is pointed in a N-NW direction so the sun sets directly in my line of sight with only one house (the farm house) in the way!!

Those stuffed pork chops sound interesting. I might try those tomorrow but I never make stuffing and I don't have the proper seasoning to do it. Maybe I will just make pork chops and stove top stuffing!!!! Not the same I know

I've been getting that "server is too busy" pop-up off and on this evening too..

aaaaah...then you new how stunning tonight's sunset was already....cool...

sure....the stove top stuffing would work well...done it a few times myself....

you know..I really do like to cook.....

and I can be adventurous....like usingthe steak seasoning on chicken
...as soon as I smelled it, I told PA..."gonna put this on a bird"....

so...anytime you want to strap on an apron...and sling some pots and pans...let me know...

i have passed this appreciation f cooking ontoboth boys too...including that we clean up after ourselves...

Oldest DS makes the BEST Lake Erie perch...

yungest DS is just a natural....

and a lot of times we do stuff just by taste or smell..

ask PA or WishingStar about the turkey I make...

I "ripped off" this restaurants specialty...just by the taste...

OH! lest I forget...I make a mouth watering squirrel mcnugget too!
