Princess Ariel's Dad is doing much much better...blood pressure is up and stable...
he is off the respirator and breathing on his own...


he had some "soft food" today...first food of any type in more than a week....

i said it was touch and go....more like a roller coaster ride with loop-de-loops and dizzying ups and downs...

WishingStar and I were in his ICU room today...he wanted to talk about her mustang, my Corvette and my RV....we promised him a ride in each once he gets sprung....then we had quite a discusion about the cars he's had in his lifetime...and Model T trucks....which he knows is my next Classic vehicle....

during this talk...Princess Ariel and her Mom came in the ICU....if you guys could only see the relief and joy on their faces today.... me & mine thank you & yours....it was a good day!

...the mystery deepens...

well.....with Priness Ariel's Dad in the hopital....and my house being the closest to the hospital....we have made sure tht anyone can stop by....something to eat...freshen up...rest awhile...whatever they wish....

I watched some Grandkids in the morning when Princess Ariel & Wishing Star went to the hospital...

Princess Ariel's Mom, sister and some nieces stopped by on their way over... me and the kids made some simple foods...potatoe salad....macaroni salad...tuna salad....we had some cold cuts handy....can fire up the BBQ grille on a minutes notice...

so...as you can see...kept busy....

after visiting hours, we had half a houseful again....oldest DS and his family too...

well anyway....after a long & busy day...i go into my play room...oops...i mean den....

sitting on my roll top was my big "etch-a-sketch"...somebody etch-a-sketched a hangman figure...WITH a fiddle in his /her hands....

hmmm....initial process of elimination would rule out DW...she doesn't etch-a-sketch too well (THAT I KNOW OF! anyway)....the grandkids woukld ask before they touched the etch-a-sketch.......DDIL is afraid to go into the den....if this IS fiddle-related, WishingStar would hide the fiddle....DS hasn't heard e play the fiddle yet....DSIL and her daughters were getting whomped playing Haunted Mansion Clue game by Kara (still the reigning champ)...

narrowing it down to DMIL i think....hmmm...took her 30 years to get used to a son-in-law that wears a kilt from time to time too....

unless it's a conspiracy and they're all in on it.....hmmmmmmmmmmm

OK! i do love a good mystery...but if i get stumped...i'll come back and as you guys for some input.....

My own DD made imaginary breakfasts for all of us today, so we each ordered whatever we want. Seeing as I'm on Weight Watchers, I took the opportunity to really blow it all on a big breakfast. I'll bet my imaginary breakfast was really good.

For Sunday Breakfast, Kara made me 2 over-easy eggs, toast with blackberry jam and coffee....

and it was good....

OK! New news... I am out of town for a couple days starting tomorrow early in the A.M.

heading to South Carolina and I am taking some golf clubs....

I am not very good....actually...i reek...I have a lot of fun...but still I reek...

I have never had a hole in 2 let alone a hole in one...

Just so you know, I play a very basic golf game. I only use 5 strokes....lots of clubs but only 5 strokes.....

they are:

hit the ball chase the ball

hit the ball search for the ball

hit the ball dive for the ball

putt and cuss

putt and awe

BTW....when youngest DS was in hs teens...we played nght time golf....we used a clear ball with a little glo-stick in it on a 9 hole course with no water....that was a blast! You ever play?

Sure I played golf ONCE. I found it so frustrating that I picked that stupid little white ball up and threw it

Needless to say that was the first AND last time I played golf.

Over easy? Were the yolks broken, or overcooked? My imaginary breakfast was also 2 eggs over-easy and toast, plus hash browns and BACON, lots of bacon.

Golf? Twice, a long time ago, in a scotch doubles with lots of other couples. It's the only way I could've lasted 18 holes. (That and the golf cart that kept visiting with 'refreshments'.) And, if you count mini-golf, I've done that a gazillion times. DD got a hole-in-one just last week!
