I ended up watching it because I'd heard of it and was curious and didn't find anything else on I found interesting. I have to admit I laughed my **** off at Rich Wife (sorry can't remember her name) when she found out where she was going. Boy is she spoiled rotten! Did you SEE the size of her closet? Yoiks. You could fit my car in a space that big.

Rich Wife really played the part of spoiled little rich girl to perfection, it seemed to me. I mean..she was demanding about EVERYTHING from the music the kids listened to, the food and the daughter's weight. If I were BoBo (the girl)I would've smacked Rich Wife stupid for commenting about my weight and telling me what I should or shouldn't eat the way she did. RW could've told her in a more polite manner, but chose not to which annoyed the heck outta me. I could tell that by the time they went to Hurricane Harbor (the water park), the kids were ready to strangle her because of the way s he was acting.

But...on the other hand..I bet Amela (poor wife) feels like she's totally out of her element in Rich Wife's house. But she's adapted well it seems like. I felt so sorry for Niko (RW's son) when he told Amela that his mom would never sit down and put together a puzzle with him.:( Poor kid. I really felt for him. And Nana..geeze..I didn't realize she was 73 either until they said something about it. She's really into that fitness stuff and looks a lot younger than she is. Wow. I hope I'm as spry as she is when I'm 73.

I thought it was hilarious that they took a spoiled little brat from the 'burbs and stuck her in the middle of the ghetto. Not to mention in a *black* family where she feels so out of place. I bet this is not what she expected when she signed up for the show. But I find it quite interesting and can't wait to tune in next week to see what the kids finally do to RW. I bet they sit on her and squash her twiggy little body flat.:teeth:

I watched trading spouses also! thought it was funny. Felt like telling spoiled rotten to get up and mske her own meals! And if you caught her in that bathing suit, she had more then average thighs! I think she should be made to give her 50 thou to charity! That amount of money would mean NOTHING to her!

I also watched it. I'll be honest w/you...I had no intentions of watching it. I thought, 'Oh, no, not ANOTHER reality show!' But I started to get interested in it before I could switch channels. The spoiled rich wife was such a selfish witch, if you ask me. I really was irritated by her. I could not believe that just b/c she has a lot of money that she thought everyone else should live the way she does. She came off as not only spoiled, but as lazy as well. I also thought she seemed like a not-so-great mother when they were on the way to the water park and she told the kids she wanted to get to know them b/c it might make her want to spend time w/her own kids! What kind of mother isn't sure if she wants to spend time w/her own children or not?! I am not sure if I will watch it again, but I sure hope someone puts her in her place soon.

That rich wife was nasty. "I need coffee. Where's the coffee?" "I need to eat now. You need to go out and get the food. That will take you about an hour." What was up with that woman? And making that poor kid stand in the closet to flip the breaker when she was blow drying her hair. That woman needs some help. I wish I could see how she reacts to seeing herself on the show.

I wonder how the rich mom would have reacted if she had been placed with a poor family. The Bigggins were just a typical middle class family living within a budget.

what channel was it on and what time?..maybe they will do a repeat..was watching Big Brother, Amazing Race and taping Summerland and Outback Jack..just what I needed..another program to watch on Tuesdays!

I also was not going to watch it, but since Comic was a rerun and nothing else was on.....it was pretty funny. I think the Rich wife's family isn't going to want to trade back! The mother in law, the kids, they all talk to Amela. She's a nice person and is actually interested in them. I got the impression that Rich wife doesnt do anything all day....you could see her and MIL didn't really care too much when they said their goodbyes. I missed the beginning, how long do they have to stay there, and do they automatically get the $50,000? What the heck does that one family need the money for? She should choose to donate it!

I watched it to, in & out of "helping" my dd. It sure was funny!

B/t/w, "rich wife" is Tammy.

I really like Anthony! He's really a laid back guy who takes pride in his family.

Did you catch where Amela said she was only 29? I think her oldest is 13, that would mean she was about 15 when she had her. I have got to give them a LOT of credit, as most relationships do not last when they have a baby so young. It's not only lasted, they've gone on to have a wonderful like together. Lucky kids to have such caring, responsible parents!

Even though Tammy is kind of a spoiled "brat", I still kindof liked her. I think she does have a good heart. She was encouraging the kids to go to college. She does need to get off of her "ample" behind and pitch in a bit. Would it really have hurt her to scramble a few eggs for the kids?

What is with the 50k? I only saw the part where the ladies were told they had to spend it for the other family.

Oh boy, I was "realitied out" last night! This, then BB, then AR!

I gotta give Anthony Biggins a LOT of credit for keeping his cool. It started with her getting out of that taxi and thinking he was "one of them", the help.

She is really a witch.

Gotta love Amelia. She is so cool and is such a good listener. That family is getting all the luck. I think rich wife should have to give her money to the Biggins family for all the crap they put up with.

I think Amelia is going to make them do something for Nana. Just a hunch.

I can't believe that rich wife makes Nana do all of the cooking! I didn't like her at all. I kept wondering what on earth her husband sees in her?:o She was telling Bobo to lose weight when she was kind of chunky herself.

I liked Amila, she seemed to have a nice personality. It'll be interesting to see how the money ends up getting spent. (ugh)

I watched the last 30 mins of it and yes, the rich wife was a witch. I wanted to slap her also. I think that they should give all of the money ($100,000) to the Biggins family just for having to put up with her. And why does rich wife need an additional $50K anyway? Give it to the lower income family!

Oh and I hope rich wife feels bad when she actually watches the show and hears what her son said to the lower income wife about his mom never having time for him.

I watched the last half an hour.

All I can say because ITA with all of you about rich wife is......I would like to see rich wife in her own house! Her DH and Nana and kids seems SO mannerly and polite to the "middle income" mother. I can't imagine how rich mom produced such polite kids when she's quite rude and spoiled acting, herself?!

I think the kids are polite because Nana raises them. From the looks of it, Tammy doesn't do much. I couldn't believe that Nana was cooking and doing the dishes and Tammy was just sitting there reading the newspaper.

I also can't believe that Tammy acts that way. According to the Fox website, Tammy used to be a truck driver and she was a waitress when her and her husband met. So she should know what it is like to have to work hard. And then she treats Anthony like that when he gets home. "Go out and get me some food, it should only take you about an hour". What is up with that. I would of had a whole lot more to say to that then he did. He is very good about keeping his cool. I would of thought because she was going into a strangers home that she would put a little more effort into trying to fit in....boy was I wrong. My DH would bend over backwards for me but if I said something like that about getting me food, he would tell me to stuff it where the sun don't shine.

I could go on and on...but I won't. I didn't plan on watching it either but there was nothing else on. And boy did it turn out to be funny. I just hope that Tammy doesn't choose something stupid for the money to be spent on.

And making that poor kid stand in the closet to flip the breaker when she was blow drying her hair.

When I watched that part I kept playing THIS over and over in my head:

Lonestaropening trunk to reveal a very large hairdryer: What is this?
Princess Vespa calmly: It's my industrial strength hairdryer. yelling And I can't live without it!

I missed the first 20 minutes...

what does the upper income husband do for a living...

that was some house and some lake house...

Rich dad Yuki is a plastic surgeon.

Hmm..you'd think that if he's a plastic surgeon, he'd want a perfect looking wife. So why does Tammy have such fat thighs if she could get them lipo'd thin by hubby dearest?

I have to admit I was laughing myself silly over her, the way she was like 'Well..I hope there's a place I can work out." as she looked around at the ghetto.

When I first flipped to the show, I was wondering what the sleeping arrangements were going to be? You never know just how wacky these reality shows are going to be! :earseek:

I also got the impression that nana raised the kids! Geesh, what a show!:o

I agree. I think Nana should get the $50,000!

I didn't watch it but Dave Chappelle was making fun of reality TV and did a skit of this exact idea awhile ago. Even called it trading spouses! I have a feeling I would enjoy the Dave version better. ;)
