Who else is praying they announce FREE DINING soon.

So the big question is how many people are actually going to either not book or cancel their trips if there isn't a summer discount and they didn't get one of the covetted PINs?

Agree. I really hope they put out something :)

Does anyone know if free dining is offered, how many day park tickets have to be bought in order to get the free dining? We were only planning one day in the parks, but thought I read somewhere you had to buy 2 day park tickets

We got a 30% discount back in October for the week of June 20th at the GF. I think it might have been a bounceback because we went last year. I was hoping for 40%, but after checking the reservations on dineys system, GF only has lagoon view, YC is completely sold out, BC only has club level and CR only has theme park view for that week. This makes me wonder if they will release discounts or if bookings are actually up.

doesnt look good at all for free dining to be extended!! We have free dining booked from Aug 20-Aug 30 but our dates have to change to Aug 17th, so I am hoping they will offer something. But as the PP noted, alot of the resorts are offering suites and Club level rooms, so it lead me to speculate that they may truly be selling out..

Folks, Disney almost always offers free dining to Visa card holders first and travel agents and others learn of this days (weeks sometimes) prior to any announcements. Disney probably won't just suddenly update their web site with a free dining promotion. You will hear chatter quite a while before.

I booked the kids play free offer and if there is no free dining, we will still go. It will wind up costing us about $300-$400 than it would if we got free dining and paid rack rates.

We are in the same boat. We booked the room discount for the first few nights then start the free dining package on the 19th. I did some homework and you can pickup your park tickets attached to a package 3 days prior to the package reservation starting. So, even though you won't have the dining plan on the first few days, you can still get your park tickets on the 17th and then have a 2nd reservation on the 19th. Just have to check in angain on the 19th which is not ideal but what can you do.

I liked that offer too, but sadly my kids stopped being "kids" at age 9....what a world:lmao:
With respect to the Visa offers, you are correct, but being a Visa holder, I havent seen any notice about FD or discounts... Even AP discounts are trickling out slowly this year...
Word on the boards is that Disney has begun to scale back their discounts, who knows...

Hello Fellow New Yorker!!!

We bought AP's last year knowing we would be back around the same time this year, so tickets arent really an issue. We did want to stay at CSR the first few days before with a room discount only, but they were offering King rooms and I would have had to take 2 separate rooms ON top of the original reservation...so it didnt make too much sense to do that!
So I'm still waiting to see what happens... either way I see it, we're still going to WDW so :dance3: I'm still a happy camper!

My DH just got off the phone with disney because he is aggrevated to. I know CM's are very unreliable but from what she told him was that the only discount she see's maybe being extended into the summer is the Kids play and stay free. She told him to keep checking if he is interested in that. My hopes for 40% off have really started to diminish and it really annoys me that we are paying about $800.00 more than last year for the same vacation (we had 40% off last year).

They may be filling up- something I noticed yesterday- I had already booked 4 nights at Pop Century for 9/25-9/29 and I went on the Disney site yesterday to check on the same dates again and it said no rooms available for those dates now!

I was just looking at the special offers on the Disney website and the Kids Play Free offer is gone but the room discount is still on there. Could they be extending the dates for the room only offer? Wishful thinking, I will take any discount at this point. I don't like paying rack rate, just seems wrong........

I saw that too, but when you click on it, it then states that promo is no longer available.

Subsrcibing to this thread. I know my DIS friends will be the first to know if there is a promo tomorrow.

We are going in November, would love any discount!!

Bummer.........I knew it was just wishful thinking............:)

Glad i'm not the only one stalking the Disney website :surfweb:
Fingers crossed for some new specials to be released!

I had an, all to real dream that I was on the phone, modifying my vacation, and book a res for the Dessert Party.

Room only offer has been taken off now, perhaps they're getting ready to put their new offers up? :confused3

My FD pin code that I got in the mail says must book by April 30th.. I'm wondering if the general free dining will come out after the 30th? (I can't use the code b/c its just for travel April - August and we want to go in the winter)

I hope we don't have to wait another whole month to find out if a general FD discount will happen!

Anyone here think that Mousesavers subscribers will get an instant email if it does get announced?
