Something will come.. I HIGHLY doubt it will be today though, and maybe not for awhile.
From watching these boards, and particularly this discount for several years.. things are not playing out how they normally do. The timing has been different,the offer itself has changed.. and the big one.. there is nary a rumor or tidbit of info to be had from any of the usual interent sources.
Silence is telling in this case. I couldn't possibly speculate if it will be released, or when another discount will come out.. but I will be shocked if it is today or even soon.

I think something will come. The traditional free dining period (late August to end of September) is still low season.. and still Hurricane season. So I can't imagine Disney's bookings are so high for that period that they won't release anything at all.
I think it's different this year, but we'll still see some type of deep*ish* discount.

I'm with you. For what ever reason we thought we were going to do something else this year. So we didn't book when FD was offered last year for our dates this year. Then in Jannuary when we started pricing other things Disney was cheaper and Dh likes the fact that everything is included in the price. So we ended up booking the kids free promo when that came out. So with the QSDP I'm stiitng at 2285.00 for 10 days. If Fd comes out it would save me another 350.00 or we could upgrade to a moderate for a addtional 400.00.

I dont know... I tried pricing out Late August vacation last week and they were only offering club level and suites at the Deluxes and King rooms at Moderates...sans discount. So I am wondering if they have enough availability to justify releasing another FD discount...or room only rate...

i'm a fan of bonus FDP trip. I booked week after thanksgiving for my DS to take GD on her 1st disney trip this year (only week they could get, my DH can't snag the week) so now i need a deal for myself lol

We got a 30% discount back in October for the week of June 20th at the GF. I think it might have been a bounceback because we went last year. I was hoping for 40%, but after checking the reservations on dineys system, GF only has lagoon view, YC is completely sold out, BC only has club level and CR only has theme park view for that week. This makes me wonder if they will release discounts or if bookings are actually up.

Checked the Chase site just now. No mention of any free dining promos. I think in the past Disney Visa cardholders had a few days headstart to make reservations.

I played around last night with the offer while it was still good and EVERYTHING was still available. Both preferred and standard at values, mods had multiple categories and alsmost everything was open in Villas under the discount ( studios, 1 and 2 bdrms). I didn't check deluxe.
Our dates are August 27th to Sept 4th. I did end up switiching some things around and had no problem when I called either yesterday night (need to change my ticker again).

However last week when I looked nothing was coming up either.. that seemed to be only that particular day. So they must have been working on something.

I checked without any discount... I called to move my reservation by one day and was told that all they had was King beds...

Huh, I just noticed that when you click on the 40% offer it takes you to the page, but it is basically just 40% off for military. Weird! I don't think it was like that before was it?

Question. I Already made a reservation with a pin offer from Chase Visa. I made payments toward it with some giftcards and my Disney chase Visa. I have $3000.00 left to pay for the late August trip. Will I be able to call in and add the discount if I use my Chase card for the remainder of the balance?

stupidly I forgot to do my ressies yesterday under that 40% offer, grrrr, ,kicking self,, and I even told them well its on your site why aren't you honoring it, to which they told me well it isn't active,, TRUE,, BUT ya know. THe agent told me perhaps a new deal was coming out soon but she didn't know and said she had a caller tell her about free dining (prob a DISer, LOL) so in the end who knows and whatever comes out prob won't work for us. I was told if you booked a trip and traveled you would get these PIN offers from time to time,, um well we took a trip last summer and immediately I got the bounceback offer but no further PINS since so I have no idea how you get these stupid things.

Had to change from free dining bounceback in September to 40% off in August, no free dining. I would to see free dining for early August.
