Who else is praying they announce FREE DINING soon.

I hope something good comes out, just booked on saturday but would love to save some extra cash

5,000 bucks for 5 nights/6 days...it would really be nice to get that 40% back that I originally had when I booked the trip-lost it when I rebooked w/ different date.

I'm excited about the trip but, really not sure a Disney trip is worth that kind of money. It's our first trip-just my H, myself and our 3.5 yr old daughter.

ETA-where are y'all scouting out the deals? disney.com?

I just had twins and we really want to make this special for our oldest little girl (3.5 yrs). We are going Sunday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 2.

I have booked a room at the Contemporary w/ Magic Kingdom View-Club level with a basic dining package (1 QS/1 S/ 1TS) and 5 day park hopper pass tickets-no water parks.

I'd love some "secrets." I'm sure it's the room. Someone posted a pretty Bay Lake view pic of a first floor room. It's our first time and just want it to be memorable for our little girl. She's been thrown for a loop with the twins-mother's guilt screaming here, I'm sure.

is probably a big difference over rates for MK view room @ the CR

we've enjoyed MK view from CR (almost as far down as you could get from the MK:laughing:) yes, the view was great and the rooms among our favs onsite - im obsessed with the sinks lol.

A standard DVC studio with requested 'side' view of the MK was even better/closer/waaay cheaper. As mentioned earlier in this thread, i booked my kids into that type of room your same dates (ergo the need for code of some sort for trip later this year), they can't wait to see the MVMCP FW, lots of fun to attend a party then watch them from your balcony another night:thumbsup2

have you checked to see if AAA discount is available (room portion?) every little bit helps. We rarely bother to park hop, you could always eliminate it on package and add it when you're at the parks if you feel you really need it.

Can you change to just a MK view room and get rid of the Club Level? Not sure a 3.5 year old would really see the benefits of the beer/wine/snacks. Not sure if you were even looking for suggestions to cut the price. If you weren't...just ignore me. ;) Hope something comes along to cut the price.

The spirits aren't for her! They are for mom and dad-it's our vacation, too! I do want to cut costs, if possible. Thank you for all your suggestions! I felt the club level would be good to get a quick breakfast and since she'll be in bed relatively early....mom and dad could enjoy some wine on the balcony or patio if that's what we decide to do. I'll look into the AAA discount! : )

oooooh the banner on the specials page has changed .... wonder if anything new is coming ......

That is a crazy amount of money. I would never pay that much but than again we go 1-2 times a year so we spend less and go more. A 3.5 year old (any kids for that matter) will like any room you get - it is WDW after all.

We have a 30% off room discount for Dec. 16-25, 2011 (9 nights) 2 adults, 3 kids (ages 6,7,8) at POR with the DDP and 7 day hoppers. = $4091.00

I would love a shave some more off our price with free dining.

Wow that sounds high. That's about what we are looking at for a family of 7 for 7 nights and we have to get two rooms! Of course we stay at the value resort.

Still waiting for something to be posted - I am going crazy wonding if we get to go to WDW this year.

I checked without any discount... I called to move my reservation by one day and was told that all they had was King beds...
I figure if they come out with a new FD promo or room discount, they might be holding rooms for that...

Someone on another thread brought up a good point. Why would they hold back rooms for a discount when they can offer them at full price and have people book them. Just like you, I am hoping for a discount for the summer as well, but I don't feel very confident like I have felt in previous years!!!!!

Which would be the case if they were holding them back I suppose.. but if you check the traditional free dining period (late August to late September) there is plenty of availibility in ALL categories. Maybe not the busier summer dates before then.. but still plenty once they move into value season.

That is so true! LOL We've been considering just upgrading to AKL savannah view from CBR because I've always wanted to. I asked my 4 yo what he thought about a room where he could see animals or CBR, and he said he wanted the nemo bedspreads :lmao: So upon that answer I've been rethinking the idea of upgrading because my whole reason was I thought the boys would just love it. We will probably just stick with CBR although queen beds with a daybed sounds like heaven so the boys could each have their own bed.
