Who else is having a snow day? (friday)

It was a bit of a surprise for us since it's not too bad out right now. Guess they were concerned about the icing.

DS9 is thrilled - but we will be working on his book report that's due on 2/13. Please let me have the patience to get through it with him.

We had ours yesterday in Chicago. The good news is it didn't start until most people got home from work and it wasn't as bad as they were predicting. We only got about 2 inches.

We are, but it's more of an "ice day". We got some snow overnight, maybe an inch or so, but now it's turned to freezing rain. Yuck!

My DD 13 is happy to hear school is cancelled here in our part of CT. It is snowing lightly but it is suppose to turn to freezing rain.

Another snow day here in Upstate NY...my 8 yr old said this morning "i haven't been to school much this week"...I snow day ,I 2 hour dalay, and one early dismissal just this week....

SE Connecticut has yet another snow day. Today is number 4. Now DD8 doesn't get out until June 21.

We are! Yesterday was one too, as was Monday! I love being home with DS!
Monday we had an ice storm, yesterday we got 8-10 inches of snow. Can't wait to go sledding!

Another snow day here. DS10 was very disappointed. They had the MEAP tests this week and today was supposed to be a blow off day (sweats, slippers and boardgames all day) LOL he can do that at home, but it's just not the same! This is day 6 or 7... looks like we'll be making up some of these at the end of the school year.

I am a TEACHER and I am enjoying my snow day here in Michigan. It is, however, more of an ice day. This is the first one we had in our district this year.

I'm loving a 3 day weekend!

Well, it's 11:00 now and snowing like crazy. Looks like they made a good decision to call off school.

You are lucky In Minnesota....they don't care how much snow or ice we get, school is almost always on We had over 12 inches late last week and the temps dipped below zero and only *some* of the real small schools canceled.

OK I love my cherubs.....it says so in my heart and in my tag but.....enough with the snow days already! I had to take 2 of my 5 to physical torture, ahem I mean therapy and they laughed and giggled their way through my pain. I came home and all the work I had brought home to do, no go there either. I'm hungry, I want to read, will you play playstation with me-lol that one amazed me because I have no idea how to even turn on the game! Then I saw the news about the little girl from Florida. My eyes cried and my heart broke.....so I will be putting away my work, making cookies, reading books, and ick-learning to play playstation but most of all I will be hugging them very close today! I will try to never complain about snow days again.

We got a snow day too! Actually everyone around here was cancelled, even in town which is unusual. We had a 2 hour delay until 7am, when they finally cancelled. My mom was planning on letting us stay home anyway cuz she doesnt really care for our superindent. lol We have got 6.5 inches since last night and its still snowing good.

We did not snow day but we had a flood day. It flood real bad here that cancel school and work.
