Who else is having a snow day? (friday)

Nope, but I've heard rumors I might be having one tomorrow.

I had a snow day here in NY too, so I took advantage of that and just woke up (its 2:00pm!). Unfortunately, I have a county-wide concert thing tomorrow and rehearsals were supposed to be this afternoon and all day tomorrow, so now we lose a few hours! I hope the concert doesn't get cancelled!

No school here in SW CT, thats our 5th one--any after that gets taken away from APril vacation.

Crazelion, are you in Chattanooga? My alarm went off and I turned on the TV and that wonderful blue bar at the bottom was listing all the places that were closed. I guess it's not nice for anyone who was flooded, but it was pretty good not to have to get the boys ready and out in that downpour.

Here in Chattanooga, about 6 years ago, they added about 25 min. to the school day so that we have about 10-12 snow (or rain as the case may be) days built into our school year. Nice to know that unless some weird weather pattern hits we don't have to make up those days. I remember having to go to school on a Sat. when I was in middle school and the funny thing was it that it snowed that day too so we left early.

We had a snow day, but it was like a pre-emptive strike. Unfortunately, the snow didn't come and the freezing rain didn't start until about 3:00 when the kids would have been getting home. It turned out to be a waste of a snow day.

No snow day for us. The district I work in had 3 last week and the kids had 2, so I think they are being very careful now--we only get 5 before adding on in June. We have 2 left, kids have 3. But we both had 2 hour delays, so I slept until 7:30.
Many districts further out in the country canceled because their roads were icy, but I didn't have any trouble. Most of the real crap went north or east.

Crazelion, are you in Chattanooga? Yes i am Chattanooga. I took one look at the blue screen and thinking i had to work. But I need not because they close the store becuase half the employees could not get there. Also the truck was stuck in Atlanta to so there was no work for me to do.

No I was out high school by then. And i don't remember any my cousins that was in school at the time going to Saturday school.

But do remember superstorm 1993 because we had to make up about 2 weeks of school. That was senior year high school that delay gradution cermony.

Please tell the board I am not kidding when close everything down when it snow. I don't they believe me.

Our school system close for everything up under sun.
