Hope to see some of you there! We'll be camping somewhere in a full hook up. We're not too picky so long as we fit in a spot. :teeth:

looks like we have the whole place to ourselves!! :earboy2:
We'll be there the 21 - 28, hopefully in the 300 loop. this is our first time. we will be in a wildcat 5th wheel - all 9 of us.

All 9??? You won't have anything to yourself!!! :rotfl: Well if it's just us as least the pool won't be crowded.

We'll overlap a little bit - we're getting there on the 27th and staying until June 2 (2 families with teens). Where in Alabama are you? Do you get out of school the 23rd? We don't get out until the 26th.

Oh yes I do. I get ALL the dirty dishes and MOST of the dirty laundry.

I'm used to it tho. Everytime DH and I hook up the camper...all 3 daughters, 1 new son-in-law, 1 boyfriend are in tow and this time we have a friend for the youngest DD AND new son-in-law's 6 year old. It's going to be a GREAT time and we are EXCITED!!

We're in Pell City. We actually get out 1/2 day on the 24th. But sssshhhhh, my DS10, has special olympics the wknd of 5/20 so she won't return to school at all. We will leave from Auburn on 5/22 and arrive at FW on 5/23.

That's great! (Don't worry, I won't tell LOL) I wish we could go a few days earlier too. My oldest is in college and he's already out and I homeschool my youngest so we're flexible, but my middle is in public school so we have to wait for him. Oh, well, it'll still be fun.

BYW, we live in Pell City for 6 1/2 years before we moved to Jacksonville 8 years ago. We loved it there!

It depends on your needs. If you need a cabin, according to the map, loop
2500 looks good. Close to the pool and bus stop. If you need tent camping then ask for a partial hook up close to the meadows area (pool, trading post, campfire). If you need a full hook up (water, electric, sewer) we like 1000 but have cruised around and 1200 and 1300 look good too. Those three are all convenient to the meadows area. If you want preferred (elec, sewer, water, cable) then 1400 seems to be the pick of the crop when you have kids along.

GOOD LUCK getting a ressie this close to your travel dates!!! Also, if you have AAA travel club see if there is a discount still available. Take your bikes or scooters and helmet for the little one.

And, on her bday, make sure you tell the CM's, they get a special button pin to wear and when CM's see that sometimes they give them "special" treatment! The sit down restaurants will usually give a cup cake to them to celebrate!!!

You all are so lucky to be going that week. We went once during this time and the weather was great. Hot but not overly humid during the day...and comfortable for evening activities. We didn't have any of those big thunder boomers every day either. But did have some rain over the course of a week. I hope you find it pleasant.

We will be getting there on the 22nd of May and leaving on the 30th.We are pulling a 28ft 5er, and requested loop 800. This is our first trip there besides for my wife. SEE YALL THERE :cool1:

duckdeau...
just wanted to let you know that there is a triathlon going on on 5/22 at FW. So please be patient if you have to detour a little or wait for some cyclists to go by while you are pulling in!!

Though, on the other hand...there will be plenty of "eye candy" with all the buff athletes around (not me...not so buff). :goodvibes

See you there!! I'll be in a cabin...riding around on a blue bike!

Oh, we were there for the triathalon last year. It does cause for some traffic congestion because they one-way alot of traffic. If you get there late in the afternoon (4pm or later) you probably won't have any problems. I remember thinking last year that I was glad we weren't trying to get in or leave that day!

We'll be arriving the 27th thru the next week. Getting soooo excited. You won't be able to miss atleast some of us. There will be 5 families in all. All Camping at the Fort. Getting really close.

yep...the race is "officially" over at 3 pm.

I'm very excited...this will be my first stay at FW!! (last year stayed at WL for the race weekend) Hope to see some green around. Maybe I could put a lime green ribbon on the deck of the cabin or something! :flower:

Out of all whos camping this weekend how many of you are giong to the park?
