Who else already has their taxes done?

We filed ours last week and are waiting for the refund to be deposited into our account. Then it's Disney World, here we come. We got a major surprise too, about five times the amount we were expecting back and after all the rechecking, it's right! We soooo needed it too!

Ours were completed today. I know I'll hear it till I'm blue in the face about how I should invest the money and how I'm giving the government a free loan, but we're getting back just short of $7500. This is our biggest refund to date. We actually have extra withheld. The accountant said we should have the money by the 3rd.

We don't have w-2's for either job-also waiting for housing interest, tithe totals-then need to add up utilities for the home office expense. Don't expect much coming back though.

DH has his W-2 form and we have all the other forms we need except for my W-2. I only started working in June for the first time in 8 years....I didn't realize I would have to wait this long for the W-2 form. I asked a girl at work when they usually get them and she said she thought they got them the middle of February last year!!! We usually get a big refund and I want the money now!!

I thought that employers had to give the W-2's by the end of January at the latest? Can anyone confirm that for me?

They are required to give them to you by January 31st. If they don't, they can get fined.

They have to be post marked no later than Jan 31st. For the first year my company is mailing ours, usually we just get them with our checks. They are supposed to mail them on Jan 25th.

I did my federal over the weekend. I efiled it and they will be direct depositing my refund. I haven't done the state one yet because I owe money so I'm going to hold off!

I should get mine with my check on Friday.. so Im planning on having mine done by Friday evening and then will be waiting for the deposit.. Unfortunately its already spent.. We booked another cruise to Eastern Caribbean on Sunday for October.. so we have back to back cruises.. Cant wait..
