Who does the trip planning in your house?

Just wondering if it is more of the DW and the DH. In my house it has been me making the phone calls to make reservations and the ADR's and planning on the days. Now my DH and DS's are actually wanting to be involved. Normally they say "whatever you want to do is fine by us", now it's "where are we going on day 1 or where do we want to go?" I am enjoying the participation.

Anybody else???

So far it has been all me. DH actually makes fun of me because I have been spending so much time researching and planning. He has told me he wants to be surprised so I don't even get to share the ADR's. Oh well, I know I will be happy

Me, Me, Me! I love it. DH and my 3 DSs will give input if asked, which I also love. I usually tell them everything, probably way more than they want to know!

The only thing my DH did was make the initial reservations for hotel and park tickets way back in December. He has done nothing since! I have read every book I can get my hands on, watched the Disney planning DVD several times, bought our plane tickets, made our dining reservations, arranged for Magical Express Service, started a packing list, plus I am planning our schedule for the week-- parks, rides, etc. DH thinks I am crazy with all the time I am spending thinking about this. It's getting to the point where I wish he would look at a book so I can get some sort of opinion at all from him. He's not interested!

I make the the reservations. I book the ADR's. I handle the plane tickets and car rentals. I make sure there is money for the trip. I do the research about things to do {tours etc}.

He helps pick the dates and resort but he loves hearing about the planning as much as I do, he just doesn't do it.

But that is okay with me! He probably wouldn't plan as far in advance as I would like.

I'm here to represent the dads that do all the planning. Like most of you my spouse thinks I am crazy, but she is the first to admit she loves not waiting in any lines and loves that we have dinner at all the best places. I have found all the planning has become more like a hobby for me. I guess that's why I have planned about 10 other Disney vacations for friends and family-complete with flash cards

When the DDs were little it was DH who did the planning. I have taken over(quite happily) and go to far more extremes than DH ever thoght were possible. I get teased daily about my addiction to DIS boards and turning every conversation into a Disney conversation.

Me and only Me.... DH wants no part of it at all-he just wants me to tell him the dates so he can clear it at work (he's self-employed).... he didn't want to do our upcoming trip at all, but I sulked and pleaded and got him to agree on 5 nights..... I try to get his opinion on ADR's... he doesn't care-just tells me to make sure there's something he and the girls will eat on the menu and book it.... I get so excited planning and going over the stuff I want to see/do and it's a bummer that I don't get to share it with anyone IRL... just my fellow dissers!!!

I do not want ot give any of the planning away. I think I enjoy it the most!!! It makes the vacation excitement go on a long time!!!

I am a travel agent so I love to plan our trips. I may, sometimes, includes DH's thoughts on our trips but mostly he just likes me to tell him when to pack and we are on our way.

That would be ME!!!! My DH buys the airline tickets and that's all!! But I love every minute of it!!!!!

Me! Oh, and I leave a day or two for the kids to pick what they want to do while we are they. Of course, I have ADR's for both of their options. (I give them 2 choices)

All me! Here's another Disney Dad that does all of the planning. And I love every moment of it. I can hear someone talking about a Disney trip a mile away. I even gave advice to woman while we were waiting on line at the post office.

Me, myself , and I. Here's another Dad saying that I plan the trip. I'll consult with DW on dining and hotel options but after that, I'm in charge of the plan. She loves it though because we have some much fun. This year the DDs (5 and 7) helped me a little.

I do all of the initial planning. I actually do two different touring plans and then we have a family meeting and usually end up combining the two into one new and different plan. With DD10 and DS13 they each have their own idea of what is not to be missed and we have to build in some down time for DH. I love the planning almost as much as actually being there!

Another DW planner! DH calls me a Disney Freak. He loves it though. I do get lots of imput from him. I ask where he wants to eat and what specific things he really wants to do. Then I work it all in. We are going with some friends in Sept and I got their imput and I loved working it all in together! It's great!
