Who do you bank with and are you happy with them?

My experiences with Washington Mutual were awful, to say the very least.

Since you are in Texas, is Frost convenient for you? Not only do I bank there, but I work for their insurance agency. It is a well run company. Let me know if you have any questions about us...

NOT Bank of America. I had an account with them this summer because I didn't have access to my usual bank (I was living on the west coast) and they made mistake after mistake. They charged me maintenance fees they shouldn't have, multiple different fees for using out of network ATMs, you name it. You have to watch your account very carefully if you go with them.

I am much happier with my small, local bank here.

I love Washington Mutual. I've moved to an area of a different state, and they don't have any offices here. I should have closed my accounts 5 months ago when we moved, but I'm not thrilled with either bank here. I've been with Washington Mutual since before they even had that name. Had our mortgage with them and have been thrilled with them. Can't remember what the name of them was prior to this.

Now I have accounts at BB&T. Boooooooooooo hiiissssssssss!! Not happy with them at all so also opened accounts at a bank near my house. Old Point or something like that. They're worse!! Their lobby closes at 2 p.m. Who can bank at that time of day besides the SAHMs and the retirees??? Not customer friendly at all. The drive up is open, but sometimes you just need to go inside. And Old Point DOES NOT have online banking from what I've seen. Not only that, on the back of my ATM card, they don't even have a phone number to call and check on your balance, etc. I don't think I'll be with them very long.

We like Citibank, excellent online banking and resolution of customer disputes. Awful experiences with both Wells Fargo and BofA.

Just don't go with Bank of America. They have crummy customer service and are just plain bad.

I completely disagree. I have excellent service with Bank of America here in California. I have a personal banker which I call if I have problems or questions. I rate their customer service as 9+/10

I live in a small town with one local BofA branch. I utilize all of their banking services without any problems whatsoever.

I believe Banking in general has come a long way in the past few years. It seems customer service is on the uprise. Which is great!
