Has Disney bought any contracts using ROFR lately?

Let us know the details.

thanks for the link but I have been following the referenced thread for a quite a while. It has alot of posts regarding the daily progress of individuals sales with sporadic data on sales passing and very few posts of contracts bought back by Disney.

I am trying to set up a thread listing data only of contracts bought back by Disney.

The ROFR'd data is helpful in tracking the lowest price to pass ROFR.

This data was tracked on the referenced thread in an ongoing post prior to May 1st.

The person who has been updating the list is away on long vacation so the list has not been updated since he left. Anyway, I just wanted to be sure you were aware that there is already a thread on the topic of who has passed or not passed ROFR including contract details, and it appears that you are.

thanks.

you seem to know a lot about Disney's buy back prices.

are there any other locations where i can find tables with recent sales & rofr'd data??

also, i read your post regarding resale offers using X & Y values in the other thread/post. very informtive. That's why i'm looking for the dsales * rofr'd data in a list or table along with who paid closing costs & MF.

any advice is appreciated.

Thanks,

I couldn't tell from your post if you managed to find the last time Delaware Mike updated the ROFR list, so just in case, here's a link to that:
http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=18387560&postcount=3648 It hasn't been updated since the end of April, but there is still good data in there. The only other source of data I am aware of is a database that hasn't been updated in 8 months. ROFR levels change over time so data that old will not be helpful.

I don't know if you are working with a particular broker, but if you are working with someone at The Timeshare Store they should be able to offer good advice on what you will need to pay to pass ROFR since they deal with that question every day.

I've visited another board where Delaware Mike posts and rather got the impression he was not visiting these boards regularly anymore. He was updating ROFR on that board tho, and he is on a long vacation now.

I could have easily misunderstood which board was being referenced tho:confused3

but I like the idea of this thread myself - unless the OP wants to take over the ROFR thread which did list both pass and fail offers at one time.

Thanks for that info. I didn't realize Delaware Mike was no longer managing that thread. I hope someone steps up to take over because it is very useful to those looking to buy on the resale market.

Re: having a thread just for "not passing ROFR", I just don't see how that data in isolation is as useful as the current ROFR thread which shows both what passed and what didn't. There is an overlap between what passes and what doesn't so I think it's better to see all the data. And if people have to report data to two different threads (this one and the ROFR thread) then it gets cumbersome both for those reporting in and those looking for info.

You're obviously welcome to post whatever you like, but I agree with Lisa.

ROFR'd prices, by themselves, can give a very misleading picture...as can prices which passed ROFR by themselves. I might get ROFR'd with a low-ball bid of $75 when the real price necessary to pass ROFR is $80...not $76. Or I might get ROFR'd on a small contract at $80 when $75 would pass if the contract were 300 points.

Delaware Mike's list of contracts with detailed data is no longer maintained on this site. The last update to the list was done April 28th.

There is an excel spreadsheet beeing maintained on another board by Delaware Mike. The new spread sheet provides averages and not specific data. The spread sheet is very useful but does not include any ROFR'd data.

It would be great to have somebody mainatain the old list with both deatiled sales data and rofr's data.

I was hoping a ROFR'd thread would be a supplement to the other data out there.

I'm in the process of bringing the ROFR thread up to date as we "speak". I don't want to own this but will at least get the data from 4/27 to the present into the list. I hope we'll be able to find another volunteer to keep it up to date!

I nominate LisaS as the new ROFR manager. All in favor, vote YEA. :dance3:

Thank-you Lisa
Deleware Mike is on Holidays and did ask for someone to cover but I guess no one did.
I'd hate to see all his hard work go to waste and I appreciate his efforts.
hugs Mel
