I want to go prepared with money to be able to tip for our wedding in two weeks...but I'm not sure who gets tipped and how much. We are using Disney photography, limo, DJ, etc. We are using outside vendors for only hair/makeup.

I would appreciate any help with this!

Thanks!

Limo, hair and makeup. Maybe the DJ - we aren't using one so I don't know. But for servers, photographers, and all the rest the 20% service charge they tacked on your bill covers them!

There was a thread about this a few weeks back - if the search function is working today, I'll bet you turn up a lot more helpful info than I've given you! :)

you don't have to tip anyone that owns their own business. so, lets say ana from beaute speciale comes to do your make up, you don't have to tip her, but if someone else does, then you should tip that person.

i have small presents for my planner, her assistant and our disney floral person. other than that, i'm going to tip our pianist, violinist, limo driver, bus drivers and if we get anyone other than carolyn allen or ana, them as well!

We are using someone for hair/makeup that owns their own business....I feel awkward not tipping, though! I guess I don't have to though...

haha...i'm so confused :confused3

How much do you tip the limo driver?

I would say if they do a good job to tip a little bit, but if it's not outstanding service, I think it's fine if you don't :)

We tipped the limo, DJ (Scooter--awesome!), and officiant (Jack Day, because we just loved him),

We tipped the limo driver, the lady from Carolyn Allen's and Anna (hair & make-up.) We debated on whether or not to tip the violinist but ultimately did not. I feel kind of badly about that now, but honestly we had NO idea how much we should tip him or if a tip was even appropriate or expected. This whole tipping issue is a hard one!:confused3

on second thought, i'm probably going to buy am ex gift cards because i think disney employees aren't allowed to receive tips...

EEK...now I feel bad...I debated on whether or not to tip the lady from CA but ultimately did not. I had a bit of sticker shock when she handed me my bill (it was more than I anticipated) so I just paid her and she went on her way. Ana from Beaute Speciale didn't seem like she expected a tip but I gave her $40 (I think) anyway and she deserved more!! I really can't remember but I think I gave the limo driver $30 and the motorcoach driver $40. We didn't tip Rev Jack but are going to send him a nice thank you, and tipping the violinist never occured to me since he was a disney employee. I'm not sure what the right amounts should be but that's what we did...

How much is a reasonable tip? 20% of what my buses cost is almost $200!

I have absolutely no idea what to get my planner and her assistant. We're thinking a gift card to a restaurant... but which one?? Or is that even appropriate?

We tipped Ana from Beaute Speciale, the limo driver and our photographer Randy Chapman, we also gave our co-ordinator a present (Amy Reindeau).

They were all great.
