Who cares about Tiger Woods?

I don't CARE about Tiger Woods. What's he going to say? "I am a horndog, but a fantastic golfer. Please respect my family's privacy as we try and heal so that my wife will not leave me, take the kids and half my money." :rotfl2: Because that's what it boils down to.

Spot on. :thumbsup2

I don't care what celebrities do in their private lives. If they are athletes I follow I care only about what they do on the field. If they are a musician I like I care only about what they do on a stage or in the studio. If I enjoy their acting I stop caring the second the camera turns off or the curtain drops.

People that follow the daily comings and goings of celebrities must have very boring lives. Celebrity gossip is just fodder for the weak minded or easily amused.

me too... :rotfl:

Please don't put me and my family in the spotlight. Let me go on every network to say that.

Wow! Did you write his statement to the press because I just watched it, and that is pretty much what he said. Oh, and that he has rediscovered religion.

What a mess.

I thought that this statement was a great first step, but - as Tiger said - it will be his actions going forward that speak loudest. He has shown integrity in the past. Hopefully he is able to regain that integrity.

The world has too much to gain from a Tiger Woods with character for us to throw him on the scrapheap of life...

OMG! We just watched this on CNBC at work. Not only was the volume cranked on every television but trading basically ceased on our floor. They showed shots of the NYSE and all the traders were staring at the television screens. It was hysterical!! :lmao:

For those that missed it - I did it, I cheated, leave my wife alone, I'm sorry to everyone and their brother, my wife never hit me (she should have in my opinion) so stop saying nasty things about her (who is saying this?), stop following the wife, the mother, the kids, I'm the loser, it's my fault. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. And I'm going back to rehab. :lmao:

As my Aussie co-worker said "He should have just seen a Catholic priest. You know they have boxes for this sort of confessing." :rotfl: :rotfl:

Who cares about what's going on in Haiti or Afghanistan...Tiger Woods wants to speak! :mic::rolleyes2

What do we have to gain from him? :confused3 He's a golfer. He's not researching the cure for cancer.

Ever look at the work performed by his foundation? Ever think of all the kids that look up to him? Celebrity brings opportunity to do great good...

Weather he regains his integrity, his financial position or the respect of anyone matters not to me. I have always tried to find role models whose real life provides examples for my children and myself to live up to. I have never needed a sports figure, a politician or a movie or TV personality to show me or my family how to live. Tiger can figure out how to live his life with honor on his own but I have nothing to gain or lose in this.

That's all well and good but seriously, this does not need to be a national event. The only reason he's getting this attention is because of his scandalous behavior.

Yes, but with good financial planners the foundation can exist with the money it currently has. Besides, he can always donate more of his own. He can sell his multi-million dollar yacht and stick the money with the foundation.

I'm sure he will get his career going again. We've all seen sports stars with problems that people forget. To be honest, I don't care if he cheated with the entire team of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders. My point is get him off the news, work on his marriage and go back to golfing. I really don't care what he does with his personal life.

I'm disappointed that he chose the middle of the Olympics as the time to draw attention to himself.

I agree 100%. My heros have been presonal. My father was my greatest hero. But there are too many people who choose their heros differently to discount this. He is going to be a hero to millions. Let's hope that he is also a positive role model...

I'm just mad his press conference cut into the Price is Right on my one day off. Seriously, respect the daytime television.

They interrupted TPIR?? That's just wrong on so many levels! I'd be ticked off too!

:sad2: Think of all the cats and dogs that may never get spayed and neutered now.......

Hey, maybe TIGER should watch The Price is Right. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

It's his first news conference since the Escalade crashed and a bunch of dirt fell out. This, whether you care or not, is NEWS.

I don't care about LV's shin but the news covers it every... single ...day....:surfweb:

Oh, I beg to differ. This is not NEWS, it's gossip. While Lindsay's shin doesn't hold much interest for me either, it is relative to her being able to compete as an olympian. Not saying they're not killing the story to death, but just saying that at least there's a reason for it.

:rotfl: His scripted speech was sad. Didn't sound very sincere to me. Go fix your family and play golf. We don't need to know about your personal life anymore!
