Who assigns the rooms at BCV???

We are staying at the BCV in a few days. Who assigns the rooms?? I am going with another family. They are also staying at BCV. I own DVC and I'm using my points but the other family went through Disney reservations and paid cash. We are trying to see if we could be together who assigns the rooms? DVC? Room assigner at BCV??? Thanks for the help.

Either the room assigner or the front desk. DVC sometimes uses a policy called "room ready" where rooms are not assigned in advance. When you arrive, they try to put you in a room that is ready that meets at least one of your requests. The front desk cm would do that. On the other hand, members have reported that sometimes they do preassign rooms. DVC has a note on their website that all requests should be made through member services, you should not call or fax the resort.

Bad thing is you cannot link a DVC reservation with a CRO reservation. Your best bet would be to check in as early as possible and ask for the rooms to be somewhat close to each other if possible.

It is true that member services can't add comments to non member reservations, BUT... if you call Member services and have the request added to your reservation and your friends call Central Reservations and have the request added to their reservation, both reservations will have the comments for the room assigner to see...Reservations that are traveling with other reservations are generally pre-assigned. The room assigner does pre-assign special medical needs and travel withs...As for who is doing that it is the room assigner for Yacht and Beach, they do not have a "DVC specific" cast, it is all one back office team for all 3 (Y&B and BCV).
