My friend has been giving me her old People and US Weekly mags, and I've pieced together that one of the sons (step-brother to sex tape Kim) has been involved with that girl from the Hills, who I also can't figure out why she's famous. I'm sure somewhere, somehow, it's all Spencer's fault. (No, I don't know who Spencer is, but they blame him for everything in the mags.)

Yeah, Brody is Bruce Jenners Son. I watch the hills and never realized they were related. Yep, Spence is also pulling crap.

That's hysterical. I have no idea who any of those people are either.

The good thing is that I have my very own 17 yo dd. So whenever I don't recognize the "famous" people I see on tv or read about, she explains it to me.

I'm still very hazy on the whole The Hills thing. And she made me watch a couple of episodes. All the girls look and sound identical so I get confused and think someone is feuding with themselves.

I am so glad someone asked this question. I keep seeing bits here and there about this show and I keep wondering the same thing. After reading this thread, I am still no closer to the answer.

If you watch E!'s The Soup, Joel McHale has told us that daughter Kim is famous for having a big "butt" and a sex tape.

i watch it and although it's dumb it does have it's moments.

a recent episode was pretty good when one of the 2 younger dd's hit bruce up for $50 and he decided that in order to teach her the value of money she would have to work and earn it. they came up with a list of chores and a dollar value for each. ranging from walking the dog for an extended period for $10, cleaning a car inside and out, cleaning up the yard, cleaning the kitchen...which seems to work until the kid encounters the local dog walker and realizes she can sub contract the jobs out and still make a profit. jenner finds out after seeing the dog walker doing the jobs and finding out how much the kid is paying him so he (jenner) makes the kid pay the dog walker and then work off what she's paid him by picking up dog poop and other less than enticing chores (so she ends up financialy in the hole, with no profit and having to do worse chores to reimburse jenner for the sub contractor) .

it's dumb but can be funny. purely because of the show i watched the e true hollywood show on the family and it was interesting/sad to see the impact the oj trial had on them. the mom and older girls were VERY close to nicole brown simpson and there was allot of hurt when the late mr. kardashian expected them to put their feelings aside and present a united front to support him in his role as loyal oj supporter and attny.

did you catch the episode where the mom is fed up with bruce's manner of dressing and brings in a fashion consultant for him. bruce finaly ends up going shopping with the guy and much to his surprise likes what he picks out for him. after the shopping trip they end up hitting a gay bar where bruce is approached by several fans not because of his olympic status but because that stinker of a movie he did with the village people decades ago is a cult classic

I've never watched the New York ones...but I LOVE the Orange County show. I think part of it has to do with the fact that I have a online buddy that lives in their neighborhood and is acquaintances with some of the group and her kids have been friendly with their kids, etc. She says the people are total trainwrecks and NOT a true depiction of the lifestyle her real friends enjoy. As if we thought they were, but you know what I mean.

I am sure they sought out the charactures (sp) of the groups. I mean your friend is probably too boring since she lives just a "normal" life like the rest of us.(which is a good thing ) They need the extreme people to get us to tune in. I have only caught a little of both Housewive but Ny seems worse IMHO.

R&B singer Brandy Norwood's mother filed a lawsuit Monday against Kim Kardashian accusing her of running up more than $120,000 credit card charges without Brandy's permission. The suit, which also names Kardashian's siblings Khloe, Kourtney and Robert Jr., alleges they ran up the charges while Kim worked as Brandy's stylist in 2006 and 2007. It seeks the return of Brandy's money plus 10 percent interest. Kim Kardashian denied the allegations, claiming she and her siblings had Brandy's permission to make the purchases. "We have her signature on all items," Kardashian says. In the lawsuit, Brandy's mother, Sonja Norwood, who is also her manager, alleges Kim Kardashian had only been authorized in 2004 to make one purchase on Brandy's American Express card in Kim's then-capacity as a stylist. But later, Kardashian made unauthorized purchases and passed on Brandy's card number to her siblings, who also then made unauthorized purchases, including for items in two Kardashian family-owned clothing stores, Dash and Smooch, for a total of $120,636.

This is a train wreck! But as much as I dislike the women, I can't turn it off. One Sunday I watched a marathon of 6 episodes, and all I could think when the credits ran was, "Gee, I hope there's another one coming up.." (Kinda like "Thank you Sir may I have another?!")


I love Bruce Jenner in this (bless his heart, what has he done to himself?). He is so mellow and laid back, and these women certainly test him on a daily basis.

The two little girls are cute, but seem to be heading down the same track as the bigger girls.

When I first started watching I was trying to figure out where they got all their money. I didn't think BJ could have that much wealth, he really didn't do much after the Olympics. But then I was told about the Dad, who was the "Attorney to the Stars" and the OJ trial. I didn't know they were friends with Oj and Nichole, I wonder if they divorced after he took the case. She probalby got half in the divorce, then he died so the girls got the rest.

I think the mom is an idiot..JMO...
