Who all applied for the WDW Mom's Panel today? Let's get a DISer on the Panel!!!

I decided to apply, even though I am only a kitty mommy at the moment. I figured that it couldn't hurt. I bet most people thought a dad wouldn't make it on the panel last year, and one did make it. The worst they can tell me is no.

I'm a mom of 5 and grandma of 4 little ones below....and we all go to WDW several times a year. I applied last year...no go. So, what the heck. I tried again. I liked the little package of Mom stuff we got for applying.

I did it, I figured why not? My chances might be 16/20,000 but if I didn't do it at all, It would be 0/20,000.

Just applied! Last year I painstakingly wrote responses and this time I just went "off the cuff". Here is something hilarious... When I submitted my answers I got flagged for "Inappropriate Content." on the expertise section! I was freaking out because I couldn't figure out what I had written that would qualify as inappropriate! Finally I realized that it must be the "whip" in Dole Whip. I had mentioned a Dole Whip Float casually in my reply. It must have been what they picked up on because when I took it out it submitted OK. Great, now the judges must think I am a perv!

I applied last year and this year as well. Correct me if I am wrong, But it seems they want families with children, right now its just me and my future husband. I think it would be a nice idea to have a different prescreptive on the panel except moms and dads with children. I know disney is a family place but many people go there that do no have children, I think it would be valuable to have that angel on the panel as well. I think another great representative on the panel would be an individual that is retired, children are already grown up but they still go to disney 2.

Nancy - Thank you for starting this thread! Last year I got an email invite but this year I didn't know when they were having it. I put my app in last night just before midnight. My hope is this year I make it to the "maybe" pile before getting cut. A girl can dream, right?

Well, it's called the mom's panel, but the rules do not specify that you have to be a mom. Last year they had a Dad on the panel, and by the name alone one would think they wouldn't have a dad, so I think there is room to be a trailblazer in the group. I don't have any kids yet, but I thought I'd give it a shot anyway. They may like something I had to say...can't hurt to try!

I applied too, just remembered when I saw the thread on here! So what is the next step? Do we just sit and wait for the call? I have never done this before!
