Whispering Canyons

Just made a ADR at Whispering Canyons.... Can anyone tell me a little more about it? Is it as good as the reservation agent metnioned? Also, I'm looking for any WDW dining suggestions outside of the parks. Thanks!!!

We went to Whispering Canyon for the first time on our last trip and we really enjoyed it. A couple of us ordered the AYCE skillet and the rest of our group ordered off the regular menu. I would probably order off the regular menu next time and skip the skillet. The desserts were very good and we all ordered the bottomless milkshakes and my kids thought this was awesome! The atmosphere is very fun and make sure you get someone in your group to ask for ketchup! I highly recommend this one.

As far as other resort restaurants, we really loved our meal at Spoodles. We also like Ohanas and several of the Downtown Disney restaurants. We liked Wolfgang Puck Cafe and our tween kids loved Planet Hollywood.

the likely hood of you liking Whispering Canyon really depends on your personality and I think age. if you can take a joke and a little good-will ribbing you will like it and you have to play with the CM/waiter.... I am SOOO looking forward to finally trying it when I go in a few months

We ate dinner there last year and loved it. We both ordered entrees and the food was great. The CM was a hoot. Since it was just DH and myself they put us by the fire place and everyone kept calling us "love birds". Even with all the ruckus going on I have to say it was kind of romantic by the fire place.

The lodge itself is amazing. I keep telling DH that's where I want to go for my 40th birthday.

You will have a lot of fun there.
