I've eaten there, it is delicious. The atmosphere is nice. Just make sure you order the "All-You-Care-To-Eat" skillet.

My two daughters, 6 & 8, loved this place. It is loud and full of fun-filled antics and hijinks. The kids really enjoyed the stick pony race (actually a fast "walk") around the restaurant and taking the "pledge" at the end. My oldest loved the "worms and dirt" kids dessert. It's loads of fun -- highly recommended.

Let me play devil's advocate to the other opinions posted so far. We've been twice--last August and just last week--and both times we were disappointed. Our servers both times just weren't into the fun and games, and the food is pedestrian fare. We ordered a la carte in August which was a mistake. My nachos were skimpy and the meat sauce tasted like it came from a can. My DW and DD4 had chicken which was decent, but nothing to write home about especially given the price. Last week, we did the all-u-care-to-eat skillet which was better, but still not notable. The brisket was decent as were the mashed potatoes, but the chicken was fatty, the ribs very dry, and the beans had an unidentifiable taste--BBQ? Baked? Not sure.
Since we're not big eaters, we only finished off most of one platter, but the cost is figured per person, not per skillet, so we paid over $40 for what ate, and that's before figuring DD4's kid's meal.

The service both times was spotty, and as previously noted, not very fun-filled. It was even my DW's birthday when we went last week, and the server merely said, "Happy Birthday!" I had to ask our server this last visit for the cornbread that comes with the skillet meal (the cornbread is actually not bad), had to catch her as she sped by to ask for more water, and had to literally flag her down to ask for the check. Both times, from the time we sat down to the time we left was over an hour--that's a long time to sit if you're mostly being ignored. We really enjoy having fun; we laugh a lot; and we're good dinner patrons (I still tipped 15% even though the service wasn't good). It's not that WC is an awful place to dine, but it simply has let us down both times. So, I don't think I can recommend it. You will note, though, that many others think it is a wonderful place to dine and to have fun, and certainly we saw others doing just that. But, for us, we won't go back.

It's one of our son's favorite restaurants!!

(be sure to ask for ketchup . . . and a LARGE coke . . . :teeth: )

Whispering Canyon is a family favorite and an absolute must each trip. For the last three trips it is our first stop so we can get in the Disney spirit. We go for the atmosphere, not because it has the best food. My hubby likes the all you can eat platter. The rest of us get other types of food which are OK but not great. If you like milkshakes, the all you can drink shakes are good. Go and give it a try. Chances are you will make it a regular stop too.
