We have ADR for dinner at Whispering Canyon. I am a picky eater and like the menu for lunch better. Will they let me order off the lunch menu at dinner?

It's pretty unlikely that you'll be able to do that. When the lunch service ends, the kitchen cleans up and puts away the items they no longer need and then preps the kitchen for the dinner service. If you like the lunch menu better, it would be better to go at lunch time.

The rest of my party likes the dinner menu. Would they let me order the cheese burger off the kids menu

Most of the time, the restaurants will allow adults to order off of the children's menu, so I think you can probably get the cheese burger.

Thank you I also didn't know you could share meals so it'll all work out

You can usually share meals at Disney World TS locations, with a few restrictions. If you're at WCC, you cannot "share" the platter (everyone who eats from it will have to pay no matter how much or how little you eat). If you order one of the a la carte items, then those can be shared.

In terms of sharing, you cannot share at buffets (e.g., Chef Mickey's), family style/all-you-care-to-eat (e.g., 'Ohana), fixed priced meals (e.g., CRT), dinner shows (e.g., HDDR), or dining packages (e.g., Fantasmic dining package). When on the DDP, you cannot share at Via Napoli.
