Whispering Canyon - no more fun

We have never been there but are going on our trip next week. We have no expectations about it and my kids know nothing about it... so I doubt we will be dissapointed. If we didn't read things on here,I am sure I wouldn't have even thought about it.

I'm getting worried. I booked this adr because of all the zaniness I'd heard....and DH is totally looking forward to getting the BIG glass (he goes through diet coke like it's water). It'll just be us two adults, but we can take a joke and I really hope that we get a waiter/waitress who is really into it.

We have an adr there in Feb. Lets hope theres some fun left. Was so looking forward to it. The kids will be dissapointed.

We had a great time at the Whispering Canyon (Dec. 29). Loved the skillett - lots of good food for all. Here are the fun things:

1. Pony Races
2. Ketchup
3. throwing things

No large drinks, no large spoon. Seems some things have gone by the wayside - but still a great place to go.

we love this place. we went in september and had a blast. if you want a great FUN server ask for geno. he learned our names and made us do a kissing contest, ride stick ponies around and sing you are my sunshine, it was fabulous! we are such hams.

ok so here it is i was down there over christmas we went and yes they did the pony ride with music they throw the straws so a couple of large drinks. we talked to our server and she said they do the other stuff at night. we went durning lunch. fyi if you are on the meal plan make sure to get dinners not lunches. there are diff things on the menu we where really not happy with the food this time. every thing was cold when it came out. there where 9 of us and 7 had he meal they brought out one skillet for all of us was not enough had to get more so those that did not get the food had to wait.

Hi Heather...that was me!! I don't think Cowboy, I mean Pirate, was concerned at all when he came back to the table and I was the only one sitting there. Glad you had a good time and congrats again to everyone who ran the full that morning!!

OMG hey girl!!!! we had an absolute BLAST! they had never been to WCC. thanks so much for making it so fun! haha pirate is a good sport!

Hi Suzanne!!!! I was at the same table with Heather and Pirate/Cowboy!!

Thank you for being so GREAT! That was my first time at Whispering Canyon and I had a BLAST!!!! I told my husband about it and we are definitely going to eat there on our next trip! The food was great and so was the atmosphere!

When we checked in, Heather told them that we wanted to sit in the big dining room and have a fun server! That's exactly what we got! Thanks again!!!!

Hi Suzanne! Yes, we had never eaten at WCC before and loved it the other night! It was a ton of fun! The whole experience... food, awesome server, hiding on my husband It was all great! We will definitely be coming back during our next trip!

We ate there on Sunday night and there was the usual antics going on.
I won't be back just due to the food. They never give you enough if you share a skillet and have to wait forever to bring more out. What is there isn't that great anymore. I remember it being better. The kids at the other tables seemed to be having fun though.

Was just there for dinner on December 23rd and had lots of fun stuff going on. Pony races and napkin twirling, many ketchup switches, the big spoon/fork, waiters using their tray stands as horse hoof sounds, and a fun waitress/server. Place was full and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

We had no problem asking for skillet refills, and they came quite quickly. Food was good.

I am glad to hear the fun is still going on. We went there last summer and enjoyed it. This is where my ds plans on going for his 5th birthday party in Feb. He picked it over CM.

Hopefully this time we'll be in the main room instead of in the back like we were in December. Though it was lovely back there I didn't get a good view of the fun or lack of fun

I'll be waiting to read your report. Made ADR for Feb. especially for 5YO DGS. He yells "ketchup" in any and all restaurants in NJ. Doesn't understand why nobody runs to the table with ketchup bottles.
