Hi,

After seeing pics of those milkshakes...we HAVE GOT to eat there. :rotfl2:

We are working on our schedule now to make our ADRs on Sunday. I have a few questions...

First of all...where is it at? How do I get there?

Secondly, if you were going to leave a park one day to eat dinner there, which park would it be easiest to leave from and get back to after dinner?

Thanks... :sunny:

Whispering Canyon is at Wilderness Lodge. The easiest way to get there is to take a boat from Magic Kingdom. That's the only park that has transportation to WL other than a bus. The boat ride is short and kinda fun, and the boats run very regularly.

Not only will you enjoy a fun meal at Whispering Canyon, you'll get to look around the beautiful Wilderness Lodge lobby - worth a trip by itself, IMO. :)

Thanks for the fast reply. We will do WC on one of our MK days!! Can't wait!

I've got ADRs for Whispering Canyon, and knew about the boat -- but where exactly do I get the boat :confused3

Thanks,
Wendy

valendemmy is right there is a dock kind of between the monorail entrance and bus stops outside of mk and there is a boat for wl/fortwilderness there(it's the same boat)also one for the poly ect so make sure & get on the fw/wl one( there are signs) have fun ! we love wcc! if you have time take a stroll around fw also and maybe take in the campfire( maybe 5 mins longer from wl by boat or you can walk it from wl to the trail end's area then take a campground bus to campfire( some say it's walkable but never tried)( if you are going in Jan mk closes fairly early and may not be wroth trying to go back after dinner)

Whispering Canyon is in the Wilderness Lodge. If you take the boat and come in the back doors is it across the lobby on your right. If you enter through the front doors, it is directly on your left.

The boat from the MK is right outside the exit. You'll see the launch. If you don't, ask one of the uniformed people and they point to it. The boat ride from MK to WL at night (not at closing) is the single most relaxing thing I've ever done at WDW.

If you decide to take the bus, be sure to get a bus from the MK. The busses are on the left as you exit. Don't get on the monorail and go to the Ticket & Transportation center to catch a bus there.

Whispering Canyon is very fun! :bounce: If you have time, hang around and watch the geyser go off, that's fun, too. Have a great time!

Can you see Wishes from the grounds of WL? We liked going to 'Ohana's to see Wishes from the beach, but the new menu removes my son's favorite grilled shrimp! Guess we need top find a new fun dinner restaurant.

Take the boat ride, it is absolutely wonderful. We went right as the sun was setting and it was beautiful. My Dgd (4) said "Oh Grandmommy, it's so beautiful" Everyone got a kick out of that :sunny:

just a thought.. sometimes they use a little open sided boat so take a jacket since you are going in winter..it gets really cold on the lake espec. in the little boat( the big ones have windows)

Ok, dont flame me. But please explain this to me. I will be driving from the airport to have lunch at WCC. I also have to take the boat over to WCC. Or is there a way for me to drive up to the resort. Thanks all for answering.

If you're driving from the airport, get directions to WDW. Once you're on WDW property, follow the signs to the Magic Kingdom. When you're coming to the Magic Kingdom entrance (You'll recognize it because there are a gazillion lanes, set up with little toll booth things, and a gigantic colored sign up-top saying "Magic Kingdom") get yourself over on the right. Not the far right lane, because that's just for the busses, but the second to the right. The little toll booth person can give you directions, but you'll go straight and follow the signs to the Wilderness Lodge.

You can park yourself and walk up to entrance.

p.s. I say toll booths because they're set up like toll booths, but there isn't any toll. They collect parking fees for the MK. If you're going to WL there won't be a fee.

When they bring your drinks at WCC, be sure to ask for a straw. :earboy2:

::yes:: and you'll probably want to ask for ketchup too!
