We've never seen the Wilderness Lodge and we're considering it for breakfast on our next trip. That's the meal that fits our adjenda and it's the menu we all like the most.

Is it as fun at breakfast as at other meals?

Had an early breakfast there during our stay last April. It was very festive and they did all the joking around... However the food was nothing special (my food was lukewarm) and IMO the WL is difficult to get to. If you're not staying there I honestly wouldn't do it... However, the WL is drop-dead gorgeous, so a visit to see it if you never have IS worth it.
Good luck :flower:

We are planning a brkfast here while staying at the WL in Aug - (its really not that much more expensive than a brkfst at Roaring Forks)

we like WCC for breakfast over the other meals served there. ask for higgins...he is super!! :earboy2:

I think the breakfast at Whispering Canyon is great. Especially if you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

During our 2 stays in 2001 and 2002, we had breakfast at Whispering Canyon at least 4 times. The food was always good and plenty. They still do some of the "antics", but it is toned down quite a bit from dinner.

It's been about 7 years ago (sigh) since we stayed at WL, but all of us LOVED the WC, for breakfast. We LOVED the other meals also. Four years ago, we ate there for dinner only. On our next trip, we will eat there again. It's on our must do list.

Have fun - the WL is beautiful! :flower:

That's what I thought too, we'd enjoy that meal most.

bumping up for an answer...is a ps needed for breakfast?

We usually make a PS for breakfast, but on the times when we have dropped in without one we didn't have to wait long. I think it depends on what season you go though (we have always been at less crowded times). To be on the safe side, I would make a PS. My son loves the pinecone-shaped waffles. When we stay at WL, we end up eating there probably at least 3 times for breakfast during our vacation.

We were at W.L. Feb.2-9 -05, We had breakfast at the Canyon twice and both times it was very good. We did the family style all you can eat thing and we didn't need to eat again until dinner. I would highly recommend it. It's good for dinner, too. You really get your money's worth. Avoid Artist's Point. Oh yes, priority seating for everything, everywhere, every time, any time and always. You don't have to use it once you make it. Think of it as meal insurance. ;)

We had Higgins a couple of weeks ago... He was super! He actually got my picky 4 year old DS to eat an entire plate of French Toast after DS insisted that he didn't like it!

We enjoyed the WCC for breakfast. We had PS's one day, but not another. I would make them, especially if you're going after about 7:30 (it wasn't crowded that early).

We were there last week for breakfast when DSIL and DCousin were in town. The breakfast was FANTASTIC. We had a great time with our server, too. SIL and Cousin had the 2 Eggs breakfast that came with hash browns (they looked really good) and a side of choice of meat. Cousin didn't want the meat, so they subbed fresh fruit, instead. DH got the Western Omelette, which was HUGE. He said it was delicious. It also came with the hash browns. Me, being the carb junky I am, had the Belgian Waffle with fresh fruit. I ordered Strawberries and Bananas for my topping, and they came in 2 separate cereal bowls full. There was so much fruit, I was sharing with the rest of the table. It was fantastic. We had a late breakfast, so it really wasn't very busy. We did ask for ketchup and straws, which was fun!

If you get the chance, you should really try it!
