I'm going to pay for Whispering Canyon out of pocket for Whispering Canyon and was wondering since the platters are considered "all you can eat" you have to pay for each individual adult and child correct? Is there a menu that you can just order from or is it only the Family Platters?

It's going to be 3 women and a child so I was hoping we could share an entrée.

1) You cannot share an AYCTE platter.
2) That is the same as two people going to a buffet and only one paying.
3) You can always order ala carte items, which YOU CAN share.

You can't have one person order the platter then others order ala carte to save money but still eat off the platter. They will see that and charge you all the price of the platter. Not sure if that is what you meant or not.

If you are not ordering the platter you can share anything you want.

It depends on the meal. Dinner no longer has any options other than the skillet, so you have no options (though the child can order from the child's menu - assuming that they are a "Disney child"). Lunch, on the other hand, is only a la carte (no skillet).

Incorrect info...there are al a carte items on the dinner menu and lunch does offer an all you can eat option.

New dinner menu starts on Wednesday adding more al a carte items and bringing back the salad to the dinner platter.

Correct info...the platter, any meal period, is a per person charge just like a typical buffet.

Sorry about that. When were there this winter, dinner was only the platter - I didn't realize that it had changed back. Posts here as recently as a couple of days ago, still said that dinner was only the platter.

Our Ratings of Whispering Canyon: (rev 6/19/2013)

*review snipped*

NOTE2: The eatery on 9/19/2012 changed the menu. Dinner is now only all-you-can-eat skillets, with no ala carte items available. Lunch no longer has the skillet and is totally ala carte. In both cases, the endless milk shakes are $6.99 and sodas are $2.99.
Both are extra, unless you are on DDP. Dessert sampler has chocolate cake, jalapeno-lime-cheesecake, and an apple-cranberry-buckle which are shared family-style. PS: Due to LOTS of complaints, WCC added-back pulled pork for the dinner menu.

No need to be sorry! 3 al a carte entrees were added back to the dinner menu a couple of months ago and 2 more are being added on Wednesday.

This is great news! We used to go to WCC every trip, but stopped once they took away the a la carte items (the skillet is not our cup of tea). With a la carte options being added back onto the menu, we'll happily put WCC back on our list! :cool1:
