Whispering Canyon Cafe ?

I have a PS for Whispering Canyon but I'm not totally thrilled with the dinner menu. We ate there several years ago and I didn't think the all you can eat skillet was all that good.

I was thinking of having lunch there instead. Do you still get the same playful atmosphere at lunch too?

We went to Lunch at the Whispering Canyon this past firday and it was about 2:45 and it was absolutely dead in the restaurant. The last lunch seating is around 3 so that may be why but it was empty.

We stayed at the WL and it did have crowds for dinner seatings. For lunch I had the Chicken Salad sandwich which was delicious and my BF had the Meatloaf which he loved.

We go to lunch at Whispering Canyon a few times a month. I like lunch better because it is cheaper. The skillet is only 13.99, versus 20 something for dinner. They have other options besides the skillet, some sandwiches and other things. My kids really enjoy the children's menu there.
As far as the atmosphere at lunch. We usually get there right when they open at noon. There are usually 8-10 other tables full by the time we get our meal. This last time we were there (on 9/24), they had the kids hobby horse race, and they did critter calls. Some of the servers were really into it, playing all kinds of jokes. The time before that when we were there for lunch, it was kind of quiet. One server was really into it and the rest weren't, and there weren't any kid's races, as my two children were the only two in the restaurant. There were other tables full, just no children. All in all, it's a pretty good meal that we all enjoy.

So........I've been around long enough to know....BUT...brain is dead tonite...........anyway that the "skillet" can be shared by two???
