We are thinking about eating dinner here on the night we arrive. Because of the time we arrive, we are not gonig to the parks that day so we need to eat in one of the resorts or Downtown Disney. Will a toddler find this fun?

If you don't think it is toddler appropriate do you recommend something else? We want something to "set the tone" for the trip!

We are eating at Chef Mickey for breakfast later in the trip after our friends arrive so we were trying to avoid this but will eat there twice if y'all think it is the best thing.

Oh, toddlers would be fine there. There's no characters or anything like that, but unless the little one is sensitive to noise or extremely shy, it'll be fine. It's certainly a place where you don't have to worry about a toddler getting rambunctious or noisy.

We took our 2 1/2 year old in May of 2007...he LOVED it and he was pooped to say the least! Our ADR was at 8:30pm and we had a full day of park touring but that did not slow him down...they offer stick horse races around the restaurant which is so much fun for a 2 1/2 year old boy...I would not give this ADR a second thought. Have fun and EAT MUCH!

Where is Whispering Canyon Cafe? Never heard of it. Going in August (also w/ 2 1/2yr. old) sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Details please.

The Wilderness Lodge...it is a ton of fun! I will see if I can find a link to info here on the DIS and post it.

It really depends on your toddler. My sons were 3 & 5 when we went and did not get into the whole antics. In fact, my 5 yo is very shy and did not like it at all. However, they enjoyed all the character meals.

I heard great things about O'hana but I've never been.

I think the antics there are not going to make sense to a 2.5 year old, so to him, it'll just be a loud restaurant. If yours likes loud noises, he'll probably be OK there. My middle son really dislikes this place (though Chef Mickey's is his favorite), so we avoid it now.

We went to WCW on our trip last May. My ds was 2 yrs 7 mo & our nephew was 3 and both loved it. He sang and played along with all of us and the servers. I agree he did not understand all of the jokes but he enjoyed himself I say 100% take your child they will love it

We ate at WCC this past Sunday with our 14 month old son. It is loud but we had a pretty good time. My son loved watching the other kids run around and play games.

my little guy had a great time there! he was around 34months(almost 3)

A colleague of mine ate in WCC last Friday with a toddler and said that it was a great family experience.

Sounds great, do I need to make ADR? I booked Mickey BBQ, but thinking of canceling it (lots of bad reviews on this board) think this would be a good replacement. GS loves loud, noisey, active places- also loves to sing and dance, very social - sounds like it would be right up his alley. Probably booking Poly too so that would be very easy to get to. Should I make ADR?

YES...WCC is sometimes very difficult to get a table on a walk up basis...if you want to do this one make SURE you have an ADR...have fun!

Go for it!:thumbsup2

We took our kids when they were as young as 1.2 and 2.10. It was great... There were things going on to keep them interested and the place is loud, so it is okay if they get loud. We have been there a few times since with our kids and we have never second guessed that decision.

No they don't get all the jokes, but who cares... It is a fun place.

Make sure to make reservations... We have seen people turned away many times.

*My kids also love Chef Mickeys, Tusker House and Sci-Fi

Ok, booked it!! Cancelled Mickey BBQ (reviews were bad) and booked this instead, Thanks everyone- these boards are so great, I wouldn't have even known about this place if not for this board! Can't wait! Thanks.
