We had originally planned to have our first nights dinner at WCC. But we were also booked to stay at WL then. We are now booked at POP (but could change again since DH is back to work full time! YEA!) But we are trying to decide if we could find somewhere better then WCC. We have never ate there. But it looks good. :confused3 And the interaction seems like a place we would enjoy. AND! We know our kids would eat the food there.

But, we aren't totally sold on it now. What other non-park resturants would you suggest for a first night?

I took my wife there last year for a late lunch on her birthday. It was me DW DS(14) and DD(11) and we loved it. The interaction is awesome and the atmosphere is great too, then inside of WCC is just so amazing.

We had Deputy Doug and he really knew when to been seen or not.

The food was good too!

We ate at Whispering Canyon Cafe last year for the first time. There was no interaction in the back area, which was nice because we were there for the food. In the main dining room, there was always something going on. My family had the all you can eat skillet and loved it. If you haven't seen the pics of the skillet, you'll have to look it up. I know there was some on the Dis boards at one time (the pics is what made up our mind to eat there).

Yes, the back area is quieter if you don't want to have as much "interaction". We went with my mother-in-law and her brother, had Bloody Mary's Thanksgiving morning, was a great time!!

We went to WCC in 2004 when our oldest was 2.5 and even she had a great time! We all enjoyed the food and service and we are headed back this year to experience it again!

The skillet is delicious!!!

We went there in 2007 because of all of the rave reviews...and we weren't impressed with it. The food wasn't that great (IMO) and the srvice/interaction was just so-so. It may have been that we had a less than enthuastic server....but there just wasn't any of the excitement that others have experienced. It wasn't really bad...just not that great.

We were there last year. We thought the food was so-so (but the kids loved it and ate it!). The interaction was awesome. They did stick pony races around the room for the kids, they had the kids yelling "I promise to never, ever, ever, go to Universal Studios", etc. No matter what you order, make sure you ask for ketchup. I would recommend it again, soley for the entertainment.

Awesome! This makes me feel much better about WCC! We have seen the pics, they look great.

We went there this past September and we won't be going back. The food was awful (the skillet), DH got sick on the meat and the service was horrible. And none of the antics went on while we were there.

We ate at WCC exactly 2 wks ago from today (:guilty:) and loved it! We were in the back room so we didn't have the interaction. The steak my BF LOVED and I had the trout which was great too. The cornbread is delicious. I would highly recommend WCC!
