Whispering Canyon Cafe and Electric Water Parade

We have ADR's for 8:20 pm at Whispering Canyon. The EWP comes around at 9:35 or so.

I've never been to Wilderness Lodge - Can we see the EWP from the restaurant?

I've been calling back to see if someone has cancelled an ADR that we could pick up and move our ADR to earlier. But just in case, we wanted to see if we might be able to see the EWP from the restaurant.

I also thought we would go over early just to absorb the WL sights - and check in to see if they might have a cancellation that day. Any other advice?

Well, we had ressies at WCC last year at 8:00 p.m. We still had a wait time of about 15 min to be seated, so my daughters kept busy at the lincoln log table. It was late when we left, after 10:00 p.m. because the boat dock was closed and we had to take a cab to get back to the Contemporary which was practically next door to WL. It wasn't that the service was slow, it was just that we didn't rush through our dinner, we were too busy enjoying all the antics that were going on around us, i.e. the pony rides, the kissing contest, etc. So we never did see the electric parade and no, you can't see it from the restaurant either, its not that close. Perhaps you can move your ressies up closer to 7 or 7:30? Even if you get done early, there is plenty of stuff to see at the WL while you are there.

We stayed at WL last week and ate at WCC.
You cannot see the Electric Boat Parade from the restaurant. Your best bet is to go down to the dock. We were done with our meal in a little over an hour-but we waited 40mins past our ressie time to be seated!! I am told this is rare.
We were lucky to see the parade from our balcony every night. It is very cute, but nothing to rush through dinner for-IMHO.
Definitely take time to check out the hotel, it is soooo beautiful!
