Hi All,
Does anybody have a whirlpool bath at their UK home?Any issues you've had with them?Good or bad?
As some of you know, ive sold my Florida villa,so to make up for the loss of my pool and spa I Am considering treating myself.

Thanks,
Lynn

We have one in the upstairs bathroom. Really had no problems with it except one time I put foam bath into it and the suds were almost in the kitchen. I have learnt my lesson, foam bath and whirl pool baths DO NOT mix.

Hi!
Thanks for replying- I dont to appear a "fool" asking the bathroom guy tomorrow...Can you use the pool without having the whirlpool feature on?
If in a years time I decide I dont like that feature,is there any problem if I dont use it again?
Do you have to clean the system much??
Lastly - what can you put in if you cant put bubbles? Are you allowed to use bath oils with this system??

Thanks ever so much,
Lynn

You can certainly use it without turning the whirlpool feature on. The cleaning is exactly like cleaning a normal bath. I tend to use bath salts instead of oil. You can use foam bath but I put far too much in and when I turned on the whirlpool feature the suds were everywhere.

I tend to have more showers than baths, so the bath doesn't get used that much, mostly by DH. It is nice having it there if you want to have a nice bath.

Hi,
We've had a whirpool bath for many years now and it's still working fine. IMO, though, you do have to clean it more, especially if you don't use the jets for a while. So I just use a toothbrush and my usual cleaner to really clean inside the jets and every once in a while I fill the tub with just hot water above the jets, put in a dishwasher tablet, then leave the jets on for about the same length of time I would leave my dishwasher on.

Not to gross you out, but we've had the occasional spider get spurted out of the jets when we haven't used it in a while :scared1: So I always make sure I clean the jets out first!
