While you all enjoy a nice dinner this evening and look forward to breakfast tomorrow

Dan, your post made me laugh! You are too funny. With all that aside though, I wish you well tomorrow! Hope all is clear! I'm sure Marie has left over ham that you can enjoy sometime after the procedure tomorrow!

I'll be watching the boards for your post tomorrow!

Good luck!

:grouphug:

Ah Papa, there MUST be something in the water or the air! I'm having a "scopy" type surgery myself on Thursday.

I'm sure all will go well for you and everything will come out just fine! Get some rest and let us know how it all goes upon your return home. I hope you have a fabulous lunch with Marie afterwards!

Blessings always,

Denise

Hope your test is clear :) Pun intended LOL

Actually I had one when I was 26 or 27....it was horrible. The prep I mean, not the test....that I was out for :) I had a colonoscopy, a sig and some other scopy done. I dread that drink...it taste like bad sprite and they add ice at the hospital like that makes it better....oh and a straw! YUCKY times two thousand to infinity.....LOL

Since you're on #5 though, this advice probably comes late but DO NOT GULP IT! I tried to hold my nose and just take it like a man (I'm a woman) and needless to say I only kept it down with lots of prayer to God LOL

I hope all goes well, Dan. I agree the prep is the worst part of it. My last time they gave me the "keg" of liquid to chug so I wouldn't get dehydrated. I ended up puking it all up anyhow so I don't see their reasoning.

Good luck!

Good luck, Dan! Hope everything turns out okay.

I can remember being in the recovery room after my colonoscopy a few years ago. I can also remember my husband asking if there were any gas masks available for guests. I guess all the tootin' going on from all the patients in the recovery room had him quite worried. :rotfl2: :lmao:

Last time my doctor did it, he gave me pills to take (with lots of water) instead of the liquid. I will have to have an endoscopy soon myself. I have a Barrotts esophagus and they have to do the endoscopy fairly often. Well, good luck with yours.

Sending P&PD your way. Good luck and I hope all goes well.

:goodvibes

Oh Dan! I feel your pain! I just went thru this the day before my hysterectomy in January. I drank and drank that stuff, till I was blue in the face, mixed it with Crystal lite iced tea mix. Let me tell you, I'll never buy this iced tea again! lol.

Dan, I'm sure you'll do great. I'm right there with ya. :thumbsup2 Please check in with us tomorrow!

I always knew you were a wise man Dan. I have been begging my Dad to get one done. His father died of Colon Cancer. go figure he just won't have it done.

Here I am enjoying about my 5th big glass of PEG-Electrolyte :faint: for my colonoscopy in the AM tomorrow. And a few more big glasses to go.

Hope everything comes out alright. ;)

Yes the stuff you drink is the hardest part. When I had one, by the end of it, I was starting to throw it up a little bit. Hope everything is o.k.

Hope it goes well Dan. These test are important. We must take care of ourselves now to live a long healthy live. Take care!

Good Luck Dan on the test, getting ready for that test is the hardest part! :wizard:

One of the best gifts you can give yourself Dan! Prayers that all goes well!
