While I'm thinking of it, who here remembers Boardwalk and Baseball?

Or Circus World? :) I used to LOVE those parks! Whenever I drive out to Tampa, I crane my neck to try and see what's left of BW&B, but last year they took down the IMAX theater that was there.

Ohhh well. Here's a page about it for those of you who do remember those parks :)

MY DH talks about his place. When he was younger he used to spend summers with his dad in Florida. He talks about BW&B and Gatorland.

Loved Circus World!! My parents took my brother and I there about 25 years ago and we still talk about it! We have pictures of us there with our faces painted like clowns:jester:

I remember driving past BW&B a couple of times, but I never stopped. As long as we're going down memory lane, the first time that I went to Busch Gardens in Tampa, all that was there was a brewery tour and a bird show. That's it. When I went back during spring break in the late 70's, the park had expanded. The monorail was still running. And beer was free. All you could drink. They were building the first roller coaster there. The park reminded me of the Kilimanjaro Safari at the Animal Kingdom. And I haven't been back to Busch Gardens since.

So many things from my youth have gone the way of the dinosaur. But it's still fun to reminisce.

Yes, I remember Boardwalk and Baseball. I went there with one of my brothers and we had a great time.

Gosh.....that brings back memories! :teeth: Never visited there myself, but remember passing it when going to Old Town, Church Street Station or Disney.

There's been long standing rumors that they were going to build a Six Flags park where BW&B used to be, but who knows. Sure would be nice to see something there again though!

Have never been to boardwalk and baseball but I remember Circus world.

I was just a little kid when we went to BW&B, but I do remember it vaguely...it's kind of one of those fuzzy memories that you're not really sure if you just dreamed or not lol.

Well, I discovered it WAS a memory - there was a show with a Bubble Clown or something, and they asked my parents, as we were walking in, if I would like to be part of the show. Of course they said yes, so my older sister and I got to sit in the front row and wait for my "cue" to go up and assist. I remember him asking my name, and I remember he did a magic trick that "produced" a donut I got to eat. We still have video somewhere....apparently I was a cute little kid.

Sidenote: I'm terrified of clowns...I wonder if Bubble Clown man had something to do with that.

I remember Boardwalk and Baseball, but only my brother got to go, not me. I just got to hear about it.

Yes, I remember Circus World. I rode that wooden roller coaster 11 times in a row!!!

I also remember going to Circus world in the late '70s. Loved the wooden coaster - I think it was called The Flying Tiger. My brother got to train to be a tight rope walker! It was a lot of fun!
