Planning on flying in the day before our cruise. Don't plan to spend a lot on our room for the night. But heard these two options were good. Which would you argue is better. Should we stay at a Disney value resort or stay at the Hyatt in the Orlando airport? We plan to pay for the Disney transfers to the port.

Going from MCO, you can potentially get on a bus as early as 9am. Buses from the resort usually leave 11am or later.

That said, if you don't mind like a 5 minute shuttle ride to MCO and want to go that route, I highly recommend the Hampton Inn Gateway. Super nice Hampton with a free shuttle to and from the airport. It's almost always cheaper than the MCO Hyatt too.

Guess it depends what time your flight gets in and what you anticiapte doing at Disney. If you want to do a park, Disney Springs, you should consider it. If you just need a place to sleep consider somewhere more convenient to the airport if you want to use Disney transfers early. As @Dug720 mentioned, those busses usually leave earlier in the morning.
