which would you choose?

I have to decide on a resort and could use some input.
We will need two rooms. Each room has 1 adult and 2 children ages 7 and 9.
My options are
7 nights yacht club 5 day park ticket with a bonus for water park or disney quest. No meals with tax $2250.

Option 2
7 nights caribbean beach resort water view or coronado springs. 5 day park pass with disney dining plan for $2750

Factoring meals i would guess yacht club woukd be $600 more.
Appreciate opinions.

Personally, I'd choose CBR/CSR with the dining plan...but I love the mods.

I'd go for the little bit of extra to get the Yacht Club! You can't beat the pool, and the accessibility to epcot, DHS, and boardwalk (making it VERY easy to get in those mid-day naps).

2 rooms at the YC for that price..........for 7 nights.....that's a great deal! That's just an insane deal..............Do the Deluxe!!!! You may never see that price again, even with the extra for dining......OMG

I would choose the YC with the water park pass. You only have a five day ticket which means you need to spend a day or two outside of the parks. With the water park option and the great pool at the YC, you'll have some great ways to spend your park free days.

Wow, what a great deal on YC! For our family, that would be a rare and special thing, so I vote YC.

YC is very nice and the kids will probably love the pool. When you factor in meals at the YC it could work out to only a little more than CBR with dining plan although you have some uncertainty about final costs. Have you used the dining plan before? Is it something that will work for you? I know that it's not something that would ever work for us given the way we dine but it does for some people. We stay at the BC or BWI because of its location and the YC is only slightly farther. Walking distance to Epcot, lots of dining options all around the area, nice pool, lovely resort, close to HS. If you really think that the pricing is going to be similar in the end, I say treat yourself to YC.

Thanks for the responses....just to clarify the $2200 at YC is per room not for both still a great deal.
think we will do YC as probably cant ever get that price again.

I have never done the dining plan before, but maybe with out it we will still be able to control cost. Kids don't really need character meals and we aren't big dessert people with every meal.

I think you may have been conservative with your meal estimate. 8 days for 6 people for only $600. That is only $75 per day. I think that may be tough.

Remember yacht club has storm along bay so maybe you could cut out the water park and more option of the tickets and save a bit more.

I'd do yacht club but I'm not a fan of mods in general.

I had to evacuate my situation also when FD was released.

We have 5 nights at the poly and 5 nights at the BC. I could've gotten FD at CBR or CSR for about $600 more.

We've decided to go with our original plan. We don't know if we'll ever get the chance to get these prices again.

I'm budgeting $2000 for food for 4 people. That's including tips alcohol and mugs. Per a site I used with our current dining plans it says I'll spend $1900. So yea I'm spending more without ddp but I'm staying at my dream resorts.

Also I don't want to worry about maximizing dining credits and keeping count of them. We have ADRs at beaches and cream, plaza and Kona. I would end up canceling those since it's not a valuable credit. I would rather pay oop and not worry about all of that.

I think I budgeted $1000 for meals for 1 adult and 2 kids...YC with tickets $2250 plus $1000 meals = 3250

It'll be even less of a savings after you factor in the tips if you did CBR.

That was another reason I decided to stay with our poly and bc reservations. CSR and CBR were about $600 more but tips would be another $200-300 on top of that. Then alcoholic beverages at dinner or at the pool is another few hundred bucks. Those extras not covered by ddp add up quickly.

The ddp calculator site has me at $1900 or so with the ADRs I want plus QS, tips, alcoholic drinks (I added), refillable mugs and taxes.

I would definitely go with the YC!!! MUCH nicer than a moderate. For that amount extra, it's an easy decision IMO. The balcony, walking to 2 theme parks, easy access to 5 luxury resorts, lots of great dining, larger rooms and Storm Along Bay!!

Good points about tips...thanks. We also aren't big dessert eaters so wouldn't get full benefit of dining plan. Whether its a cruise or an all inclusive I find after day 3 I get tired of eating and would rather eat lighter meals. With DP I would probably order big meals.

We are the same way. After 3 days we feel stuffed.

I okay have ADRs for the first half of our trip. And 3 of those are the plaza, beaches and cream and Kona. So smaller meals at those places.

The second half whole at the BC we have none. I plan on trying a lot of QS at Epcot. Places I've never tried because we've always had ADRs while on the dining plan.
