Which weekend would you pick?

Here's a question for all the amazing Disneyland experts on this board.

We're all set to go to DL next weekend (President's Day). We'll be in the park Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, now we're thinking we might be better off going for a long weekend in March. Our March dates would be March 15-17 (Thursday - Saturday).

I've looked over the Spring Break dates in other threads, and it looks like many school districts are off during that time, but I imagine President's Day weekend could be bad, too.

Going in March will mean we have to pay more (we'll have a three year-old by then), but if the crowds are smaller I'm willing to pay the extra money.

So, if you had a choice, which would you pick?

Thank you so much!

If you go on the first set of dates, you will find Friday to start out with low crowds and then it will change to busy later in the day for the rest of the trip. This could be dissapointing. Overall though, your first set of dates will be slightly less busy.

My choice would be the later set of days. Likely better weather, drier and warmer. Less rehabs. Out of the rehabs a big one for me that would end for March, is Fantasmic!.

I'm not sure how much the rehabs would matter to you as F! and GRR are not things that are as imporant to a 2-3yo. Understandably this is a tricky decision when you put cost into the equation with a child in that age transition.

Others will chime in, I'm sure!

I would GUESS that March will be slightly less crowded, but I'm not even sure about that. If I were in your shoes I would personally keep the dates you have now. My own thoughts are that it's going to be busy either way, and crowds MAY not be any better in March. If it's more expensive and involves changing plans for a result that may not even be any better, I would stick with what I have and hope for the best.

Now, it could be that President's Day weekend is terrible and Spring Break is less terrible, but again, if I have 2 options that are pretty similar, I tend to go with the one that's cheaper/takes less effort, which would be to stick with what you have.

EDIT: Checking the rehab/entertainment schedules like Skiingfast alluded to is smart. If Fantasmic! were a priority, for instance, March is better.

Have a great trip, whenever you go!

Thanks for the responses. I think we're leaning toward sticking with next weekend, and we'll hope for the best. After years of going mid-week in January, we became spoiled and now we feel like a 5 minute wait for a ride is terrible.
