which week?

Hello. Sorry if this is the wrong place to be posting this.

We have scheduled our vacation to go the week after Thanksgiving. Now I am second guessing it, after everything I have been reading. We wanted a "slower" time of year... haha, if there is one. Is it better to stick with the week we have we already have a deposit down (so we have the cheaper dining plan rates) or do I re-book for the first week of November. We like the thought of the Christmas decorations going up and I like having a couple days to get ready for vacation without taking off work.. but if it is slower in the beginning... Any thoughts would be appreciated

We used to go the week after thanksgiving every year, because it is hands down the best time of year to go. If you move it to the beginning of the month you can still get food and wine, but you won't get halloween decor nor christmas decor. Also you have Jersey Week at the beginning of the month. You already are planning for the end of the month, and I recommend it. Chances are you can see the Holiday Party at the Magic Kingdom too!

The week after Thanksgiving/1st week of December should be a slower period. We went from December 1st to 14th a few years ago and it wasn't crowded at all.

I would keep what you have. It will be "slower" but not "dead". The shift over to Christmas is worth it in my opinion.

I do this dilemna every single year so don't feel bad . I went that exact week this past year and it was great!!! One of the best times crowd-wise I have ever experienced in all these years going to DW. The weekends were PACKED but that's to be expected any weekend. I would plan your MK days during the week, do the hotel pool on Saturday, and have fun!
