Which week in September?

I have been tentatively planning our trip for the last week of August next year in anticipation of the free dining offer. Now that it seem likely that if it is offered to the general public it will not start until Aug. 30, I am trying to decide which week would be better. I CANNOT take off work the first week of the month (Accountant) and school starts Sept. 22, so that leaves Sept. 6-13 or 13-20. The first week will be tight for me getting off work and the second week will get DS home right before school starts (which he would prefer not to do). So now I am trying to figure out all of the pros and cons of each week, such as crowds, bugs, activities (NOJ, MNSSHP, etc.) or anything that I have not thought of. Any ideas?

check when the Night of Joy is....
if you're not planning on attending, i would avoid going during that time......

MNSSHP starts the weekend after NoJ - i'd try to time it for that weekend...

assuming it works with the time you want to be home for school...

I picked the 2nd week. That should get you to MNSSHP if it is the same weeks as this year.

We always go during mid Sept, usually the week after Labor Day. The crowds are way down with schools being back in session, the weather is still warm but very manageable, and the room rates are way down since it is the value season. We love going because we love staying in Deluxes and could not afford to if we were to go during Peak or Holiday season.
