We just got home from a wonderful time in the parks...10 days in all. And already I'm hoping to go back soon. Am thinking of heading back down, flying this time, for a week in March. Would be a good way to celebrate my birthday. :)

Which week will most likely be the least crowded? How long do the parks stay open this time of year?

I know spring break time starts in march for DL so I would guess early in March is better than later in March. I've never been in march but that's my guess.

i would stick to the first 2 weeks of March, less likelihood of Spring Breakers.

We went during our SB this year (3rd wk of March) and mornings were good but closer to lunch and after, it got biiiizzzzyyyyy

One thing to think about also is what you want to do/see. Check out what rides are down for refurb, are fireworks/WOC/Fantasmic scheduled etc.

We went last year in March. I don't have a calendar in front of me but I think it was Wed the 8th- Saturday. The park was great Wed - Friday afternoon. As the day went on Friday, it got more and more crowded. Friday night and Saturday was CRAZY crowded. The CMs said that weekend was the start of Spring Break season. I thought this time frame would be early enough to miss the crowds, esp. since Easter was in April but I was wrong. We might go back again this year but go the last week of February. I don't know if Disney will do it again but they ran specials for tickets and onsite hotels in January and February so we just missed the specials.

That would be great if they ran specials. I'll probably plan for the last week in Feb, downside being short park hours, except on weekends. But hours probably won't be much longer, if at all, in March.

The earlier in March the better! If you time it right most refurbs will be finishing up or just completed when you are there--since they'll want most everything ramped up for spring break!

first week in march would be good....then it starts getting busy. We went the 3rd week in March a few times,it was not good.

We went the first week-end in March the past three years and last year we had HOT weather! I would say it was close to 90 on two of the four days we were there. Saturdays are by far the busiest day, during the week we had very short lines but the park closed at 9:00. Friday, saturday and Sunday the park stayed open late, maybe midnight.

I have been in March 3 or 4 times now during spring break. The weather is nice, the park is usually open til midnight with lots of shows; but it gets CRAZY crowded.

I'm going to plan a trip for Feb 28 thru March 6. Weather should be okay, hours will be longer on weekends, and hopefully we'll miss all of spring break.

I'm arriving March 1st and leaving the 4th, I really hope most of the refurbs are done. I'm taking my 3 adult nices who have never been to DL. I can't wait!
