Which week for December 2009?

We are planning on a trip in December of 2009. The two weeks Im debating are either 12/6-12/12 or 12/13-12/18. Originally I planned on doing 12/6, but it looks like that is the Pop Warner week and Im not sure what effect that has on the parks. We have two small children under 5 so we really try to pick times that are going to be least crowded. Any one have an opinion on either of these weeks for next year?

I am not a DVC member but my husband and I have been to DW twice over the second week in December (generally getting there just as Pop Warner is leaving) and we had a blast! I vote for the second set of days!

I think we are leaning towards the second set of dates. Thanks for your feedback. We would be staying at the boardwalk which is our home resort unless VWL has any openings for that week at the 7 month window.

If you are flying, be aware that flights home on the 18th may be mroe expensive due to the approach of Christmas. -- Suzanne

I think I would do the first set of dates. We live in Orlando and although it's getting a lot harder to predict when the crowds come and go (people just don't care about taking their kids out of school anymore!), we do find the first week of December to be the least crowded of any other time in the year, except for maybe early May or right after Labor Day. You will definitely see the Christmas decorations as those go up right around Thanksgiving.
