Our family is planning our trip to WDW and my boys (6 and 8) want to know which resort has the best arcade? We will be staying at OKW but love to resort hop so it does'nt matter where it is. Also which resort has a really great pool that we CAN pool-hop to? Thanks for all your help!!! Really Excited!!

Unfortunately, I have only been to a few resorts - can't remember what GF had since it was so long ago but I do remember that I enjoyed the arcade more at CBR than CR believe it or not. Sure others will have some great opinions for you:)

Cont and POR (which is almost next door to OKW). both have big rooms full of stuff.

I think POR is more upscale - but someone say that Cont also got a new selection????

I don't know about SSR.

WL/VWL also has a nice arcade area.

forgot - Pop Century has a nice one....

CR has the biggest and best, according to everything printed. However, the ones at Pop and All/Stars are pretty good sizes too.

Of the arcades I've seen at the resorts, so far Y&B club has the best followed by CR and maybe POR.

As for pool hopping -- are you DVC members staying on points? If so, BWV's has a great pool with the keister coaster slide, CSR has a pretty cool pool with a slide and OKW is almost done with the installation of the pool slide if you're lucky - it will be open in time for your trip! The Poly is a kid favorite with the volcano pool & slide too;)

** please take note though, if you ARE NOT A DVC MEMBER who is staying on points, pool hopping IS NOT permitted. People who rent from members while they may be able to obtain some of the member perks are not technically entitled to all perks members receive and may be asked to show their blue DVC member card in addition to their resort I.D. for proof of eligiblility of the member perks.

HTH's have a great trip!

My kids LOVED the Contemporary arcade. It was much bigger than the ones at GF and BWV--don't know about any of the others. The arcade at CR also had prizes that you could turn in tickets for. This was in 2000, so I don't know if that's still the case, perhaps someone who has been there more recently would know.

The Contemporary has the best arcade.

As DVC members, the only 2 pools you cannot hop are the ones at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Stormalong Bay (SAB) at the Y&BC. If you are renting points you technically cannot pool hop, but your room key will say "member" on it anyway. I have never been asked for my DVC card in addition to my room key when I have pool hopped, even when we were allowed to go to SAB.

Note, even if you are a DVC member, you may not be allowed to pool hop depending on the dates of your stay. Pool hopping is usually suspended for the big holiday times of Easter, 4th of July and Christmas/New Years.

Another vote for the Contemporary. Although we've never stayed at the Contemporary, our 2 DSs have always made a special trip over there for the Arcade.

The Contemporary Resort has the best game room, hands down.

Stay away from All-Stars - too many unruly kids in there.

As for pool hopping, our kids like the Polynesian volcano pool. It's usually not too crowded during the day, and they love to hear the music underwater.

Yes we are DVC members and we will be using our points and I do know all the rules about pool hopping and I always check with the front desk before hopping to check on capacity. Thank you for your concern!!

DH honey sometimes likes visiting his past with an occasional game of space invaders or centipede! haahaahaa!

We did notice that some of the same games had different prices. Just depended what resort you were at. I know air hockey was different prices at the Poly and the B/C next to Beaches and Cream. It was cheaper there and had a better table. We didn't check any other ones.... I drug him into looking at the gift stores with me

The way my kids are, it's easier and cheaper to send them to Disney Quest. Particularly with the new MYW tickets and options.

We checked out the arcade at SSR and it was really nice. Brand new games in working order. BWV has the worst arcade of all that I've seen.
