MK for sure.So we are visiting all four WDW parks, but we’re getting the 5 day hopper. Which park do you think takes the most time to visit? Trying to plan which park we will visit for two days.
Definitely Magic Kingdom. The only caveat to that is if ROTR is a must-do for you, you might want to build in some flexibility to park hop as necessary - that way if your DHS day is a "bad" ROTR day, you'd have some flexibility to go back in the morning, maybe on your Epcot day for example. We were on a longer trip last week (9 park days), but split up Epcot and AK into multiple half-days. I think AK is nearly a full-day park with the addition of Pandora, but it was still nice to spend open to 3pm or so, then go back on another evening to experience Pandora at night.
A lot depends on where you're staying too. We were at Yacht Club, so hopping between Epcot and DHS was easy.
The only park out of the 4 I can say is a real challenge to get done in a day would be the Magic Kingdom. There are easily twice as many "attractions" in that park compared to the others.
When we plan a 5 day visit at the parks I always plan to start and end at MK. Those two days are generally not always full days at the parks and it just feel right starting and finishing at the original. The other 3 parks can be done in a day. Currently if you are going with the hopper as you posted about I would plan to rope drop Hollywood Studios two of those 3 days to give yourself a better chance at riding ROTR. You can hop over to Epcot one of those days and knock that park out easily.
I have seen a ton of reports of people using all sort of transportation in doing rope drop at DHS and it working just fine for them. Me personally I always drive to all the parks myself. It's simply easier to time it up with less chance of a wrench being thrown into the works. So with staying at Hilton Lake Buena Vista (Disney Springs) vs AK lodge make any difference as far as trying to do rope drop at DHS? Should I drive to DHS or is it ok to take bus from either lodge for BG reservation for ROTR? I’m concerned with getting there at rope drop and I’m not sure if bus will be late.
I would bookend your trip with MK, but plan on possibly having to do HS for two mornings if you are Star Wars fans and something happens with ROTR.So we are visiting all four WDW parks, but we’re getting the 5 day hopper.
