Which WDW hotels do celebrities stay in?

re: Kenny Chesney, it very well could have been him. He's from a little hole-in-the-wall town about 5 miles from my house. He still comes back home whenever he can. When he's home and not showing off, he looks just like any other redneck boy around here. Plus, scuttlebutt says he's seeing a local girl on the downlow (for privacy reasons) and he could have been there with her and her kids.

Just saying, huge difference between someone going back to their hometown and just being normal and going to a popular vacation spot.

Um, it most certainly WAS him. I don't know that he was staying at the resort, or whether he was doing an interview or maybe staying at a different resort but came to the pool for a bit for a meeting of some sort? :confused3

We were walking along the path and he was walking towards us while a gal with a briefcase and clip board walked next to him writing a bunch of stuff down as they talked. They stopped in the path and he said "got it?" and she said "yep - I'll be in touch".

They parted and he continued on the path towards us as my eyes grew HUGE when I realized who it was. He walked by us - he smiled and nodded his head as he passed us because he knew that I knew who he was. My husband had already recognized him and just laughed because it took me a minute to comprehend the whole thing. I said in a loud whisper "omg, was that Kenny Chesney?" and I turned around for another look and he was turned around and smiled and tipped his hat at me and continued walking.

Trust me it was him. :thumbsup2

Maybe the person he was walking with was staying at Port Orleans?

The woman was wearing a pencil skirt, blazer and heels...and was carrying a briefcase and taking notes while they talked. It wasn't just someone hanging out with him at the pool. It appeared to be a business discussion.

Why would someone do that as a fake? And then NOT stop and engage with me when I "recognized" him?

Isn't the point of being a fake to actually draw attention to yourself?

But since you go to 3-4 concerts a year you obviously "know him". ;)

I don't know jack about the man but even I know he's a beach bum...it's one of his "things he's known for".
If you WERE Kenny and wanted to NOT be recognized, would you go to a beach or would you go somewhere where when people walk by they don't think it would be you so they keep walking?

Honestly, I could care less either way...but obviously this bothers you enough to try to discredit a "possible" sighting.

Maybe you don't know him as well as you thought by paying to go to so many of his concerts? Or maybe it really wasn't him. Who knows? Now I'll know that next time I need to ask for some ID before I fall for a fake. ;)

And nmake a copy of it do the rest of us can see your verification of an actual sighting. ;)

I have never called them a liar. They themselves have said they could be wrong and do not know a lot about him. As I have said a few times, just going off of what I know about him, I found it shocking.

If I am being rude then so are all of the comments people are now directing at me. This would not be happening if I was talking about a more universally popular celebrity.

Kenny Chesney is not universally popular?
I'm not as huge of a fan as you are with your in depth intimate knowldge and I know who Kenny Chesney is.

I think Kenny might be a little upset with you for doubting his popularity. He's one of the very well known country singers.

Wasn't implying that he isn't well known, just isn't as popular as a star like Beyoncé and even know I would say guys like Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean are more popular in country music.

I am a big fan but I am not going sit and pretend like he is a giant star who everybody loves.

Tom Cruise and his older kids were at WDW this last week. If you follow Connor on Instagram (I don't ;)), you'll see the pic of him and his sister on Expedition Everest, as well as at HS.

I wonder where they stayed? :)
Not POR. Celebrities don't stay there or even walk there. ;)

Let it go. The poster saw Kenny Chesney at POR. They gave a description of the sighting and the interaction.

That's it. It doesn't matter that it shocks you he would be there. He apparently was.

Still no proof it was him. No idea why one person claiming something on the internet has to be right and I have to be wrong.

I have said I would love to move on and have said she may be right but others keep going back to my posts and asking me questions.

None of us have proof about any of the sightings that people have talked about. It's not needed. People know what famous people look like and know if it's them or not.

The reason the one person claiming something on the internet is right is because they were there and saw it, you weren't. You are a teenage fan who thinks they know a celebrity and where they would be on any given day. You don't and people aren't going to take you seriously when you make an argument like that.

I saw Angela Lansbury in Epcot once. She had a Disney escort person with her. Someone yelled out "Miss Lansbury I'm a big fan" and she smiled and said thank you. Of course, it could have been a lookalike that they were escorting through the park and she could have been staying in character by saying "Thank you". I did not request to check her ID. I do not know anything about Angela Lansbury's personal preferences for vacation destinations.

I also saw Wayne Brady in the MK. Again with an escort. I looked at him. He looked at me. I didn't quite recognize him at first but then it dawned on me as to who he was and when I looked back at him he smiled and put his finger up to his lips as though to say "Shh...don't point me out". I did tell my DH that was him. DH didn't believe me until he saw him for himself. I did not ask to see his ID so again, he could have been a lookalike that was being escorted and staying completely in character. I also do not know anything about Wayne Brady's personal vacation preferences.

I do not know where either of them were staying in terms of a hotel. I would assume that most celebrities would stay at a deluxe. However, it is also feasible in my mind that they might be at any other hotel on property to meet someone for business who might not be able to afford a deluxe, or for some sort of promotional thing.

We also saw one of the TV chefs Robery Irvine in Hollywood Studios. DH recognized him since he watches Food Network religiously. I woudn't have known the guy if I tripped over him. Again, escorted, DH said "Hello chef" he said hello back we did not ask for ID to verify identity so it's anyone's guess as to whether it was REALLY him or not. ;)

IMO, which is just that, MY opinion, those stories are just more believable.
People know what famous people look like and know if it's them or not.
OP herself admitted she does not know Kenny Chesney well - we are not talking about a big celbrity like Tom Cruise who almost everyone knows for sure looks like. I am sure a ton of people have no idea what Kenny looks like, especially out of place.

The reason the one person claiming something on the internet is right is because they were there and saw it, you weren't. You are a teenage fan who thinks they know a celebrity and where they would be on any given day. You don't.

Yes because everyone who claims things on the internet is right, sorry I forgot.

I don't appreciate your snark and showing up to this thread a week after it started and thinking you can just get in on ribbing me.

I need proof as you are just someone on the internet saying something.

Does it make anyone feel good about themselves that they are taking the time to harass someone they are calling just a "teenage fan"?

I understand that nobody has proof of their sightings and of course not, why would they?

My problem is that everyone is SO sure that OP is right and feels I have no right to ask questions and be shocked about what she saw. There is no guarantee she is right and I am allowed to ask questions/be shocked and explain why I am shocked.

I couldn't believe how big Robert Irvine's arms were when I saw him at BC/YC. I mean you can see on tv how muscular he is but to see in real life how big his is was interesting.

I helped Phil Michelson and his wife with the kids once at chef mickeys. One kid ran she yelled, I distracted her quickly and all was well:) nice people.
